Slight heat with the heat gun, then use some fishing line to go behind it and pull it off. Then you can remove the leftover residue. If you use the fishing line, you don’t have to use the heat gun, but it does make it easier and quicker.
Mine died for the third time two days ago. Battery voltage was 2.05 volts. Replaced it with a new battery. Didn’t even bother with the dealership. Sad that at one year and 4,300 miles I had to replace the battery.
Drove mine Saturday about 5 miles. Went out yesterday afternoon and it was totally dead. It’s been 5 weeks or so since the first time it died. No trouble in between. I’ll check the voltage tomorrow, then put the jump box on it and take it up to my shop so I can test the battery again. Curious...
I don’t have any experience with one on my Ram, but I ran one on my 2011 F150 with the 6.2L in it and loved it. Very well made, and sounded fantastic, volume comparable to the Borla ATAK, imo.
My 2011 F150 came with them. They would flat spot terribly anytime the truck sat for over a couple of hours, then vibrate like hell for 30 miles or so until the flat spot went away. Probably the worst tire I have ever driven. Replaced them at 5k miles.
I’ve had my truck 11 months, and it has 3,900 miles. Drove it to work and back last Thursday, and on Friday morning it was dead. Jump box started it with no issues. Put it on a trickle charger for the weekend, then tested the battery. no issues there. No parasitic draw from my tonneau cover...
lol. I used to drive around in my ‘62 F100 with a spare Holley one barrel carb and a spare fuel pump behind the seat. I could change the fuel pump in less than 10 minutes in the dark.
BlowIing out the pad using compressed air is the best. Don’t cross contaminate the pads but using multiple products on the same pad. Which specific Pads and products did you purchase? What was/sealant are you planning on using ?
I would also recommend using a clay car as a first step prior...
I had an Undercover Elite on my F150. It was a first class product and great customer support. I have a Roll-n-Lock E series now. I would choose the retractable over the one piece 100 times out of 100 if I had to do it again. The only benefit of the solid cover, imo, was how watertight it...
