Guys,
I have an Alfa Romeo Giulia QV with the V6 TT and I use this oil too. You can buy a 3 pack 5 quart jugs from Walmart for $80. It's the best and only place where it's reasonably priced. At least your oil filter doesn't cost $70.
Changed oil at 600 miles used shell Rotella gas truck and Purolator one filter. When I dumped the oil out of the filter, had fine particles in it.
Good comparison of the Shell Rotella Gas Truck vs Mobil 1 on YouTube by project farm.
I wouldn't worry, they probably pressure washed the engine bay. The rust is on the block and would have rusted in due time anyway. As long as the truck is running good I wouldn't worry. If you want, note the amount of rust and keep and eye on it.
I would suspect that the 48v battery is bad. There's been quite a bit of posts regarding that. The battery is VIN specific so there may be parts available or not. I wish there's something that can be done as far as diagnostic on the eTq system as it seems us early adopters are paying the price.
According to Pennzoil, 4-5 years in a temperature controled environment with the bottle sealed. I bought some PUP recently and it was made in 2016 (bottom of jug has manufacturing date), sufficient to say I gave it back. Supposedly the add pack performance can't be guaranteed after that period...
Changed oil at 660 miles with 5w-20 Shell Rotella Gas Truck with puralator one filter. Found that the filter had a lot of fine aluminum particles in it. Most likely has been in bypass for some time. Good idea to change early.
Side Note: shell gas truck oil is $21 at Walmart with $10 rebate...
I got a 2019 Laramie Longhorn 5.7 etorque for $45k out the door MSRP was $59k. They took some off of their dealer hold back and employee pricing was down to $51k with $5300 in rebates. I also got 0% financing for 60 months. The rebates are regional based on zip code. I am in the great lakes...
I bought the RDJ cover from Amazon. I have the 5'7" bed without Ram box. Fits pretty good and was the cheapest tri-fold hard cover available. I'll attach some pictures later.
