    New Diesel owner.

Congrats on your new diesel. I've owned diesels for a long time, and the new "eco" diesels since 2013. Not that it makes any difference as what follows is strictly my point of view, so take it for what it is worth. Fuel - pretty standard now with low sulfur highway diesel being required...

First World Problem - Squeeky Seatbelt

Yep ... same problem, same side but mine sounds like it is in the roller assembly on the floor. I tried the WD40 dry Teflon spray and maybe it helped for a week or so. Back to squeaking again. I'll try the dry spray at the shoulder assembly, maybe that's where it is really squeaking.

First Oil change. Found Oil Leak!

IMHO I'd say you are very fortunate with the service folks. It's rare to see that type of proactive response. Good for you and for them! I have quite a bit of experience with engine oil leaks / seeps, etc, unfortunately for me. I have a 2013 Porsche Cayenne diesel, which is a fantastic...

    Tonneau Cover Replacement (recommendations needed)

My story is almost identical ... tried Extang Solid Fold but was disappointed with security and water tightness. Went to Diamondback. Unbelievably better and a huge step up. It is expensive and it's not low profile, but I sort of like the look. Completely water tight and very, very secure...

Waterproofing MFT, rambox, and Diamondback cover

If you have not already done so, you might call the folks at Diamondback covers. I have a Ram 1500 with MFT and no Rambox so I can't really help, but I talked the the Diamondback folks and they really seemed keen to help me resolve my issue. They have some other weather stripping materials on...

Thanks for the update ... glad to hear they are covering you without too much hassle other than a month or so rental.

2021 1500 Limited 3.0L Ecodiesel Transmission Failure at 700 miles

Very sorry to hear about this, especially on a trip - that's the worse feeling. Also glad to hear the positive response from the dealer to help you. There doesn't seem to be many of those type stories. Please keep us informed about the transmission issue and fix - I also have an ecodiesel but...

Extang Solid Fold 2.0 - delaminating / bubbles / ripples

I got the new "smooth black" too. I really like the cover and the look.

Extang Solid Fold 2.0 - delaminating / bubbles / ripples

I didn't get the bubbles but I did get cracks in the underside supports and some denting. I also tried to get it reasonably water tight which it never was. I gave up, got rid of my solid fold 2.0 and went with a more expensive Diamondback top. The quality difference is dramatic. The...

Diesel owners; do you regret your engine choice?

Yes. I have a local German car specialist who is very very good. His prices are just under the dealer but his quality of work and attention to detail sets him apart. I'd have to go back and find the receipt but it seems like something around $800.

Diesel owners; do you regret your engine choice?

No regrets here. I am pretty familiar with the European 3L diesels as I also have a 2013 Cayenne diesel. It's a very similar engine including hp and torque (Germany-Cayenne versus Italy-Ram). Both use an 8 speed automatic transmission. I have over 100K miles (combo city & highway) on the...

    Anti-Spin vs Electronic Locking Rear

Thanks all. Good info. I didn't know about the 40 mph in 4L. I can see in moderate to deep snow where the e-locker in 4L could be helpful and nice to have up to 40 mph. Without this knowledge I would have just used 4H and then saw e-locker disengage and then said to myself why didn't I get...

    Anti-Spin vs Electronic Locking Rear

I have e-locker on my 2020 Limited 4x4. Sort of wish I had anti-spin (which I had on my original order configuration but changed it). Since I will do very little 4L driving, I now think the anti-spin would have been the better choice for me. I had thought the e-lock was more akin to traction...

tonneau covers that work with the multifunction tailgate?

Hi folks - I wanted to add some info to the thread. I have just changed covers from a Solid Fold 2.0 to a DiamondBack SE on my 2020 Limited with MFT, no Ram Box. While the Solid Fold was "ok" , I wasn't super content with it. Some small leak points but really I was not comfortable with...

    Truck showing incorrect outside temperature

Is your temperature off by 20-25 degrees at all times? The reason I ask is mine is off on sunny days when the sun hits directly on the driver's side mirror. Usually off at most by 10 - 12 degrees. But at night or on cloudy days it's surprisingly close to temperature from other sources (like...
