Couldn't agree more IdahoKTM. I was GM forever, and mostly Denali's which I thought at the time looked very classy. That's until their 14 came out and it looked like a clown truck with the HUGE grill and mega-bling. My dealer even bought one for me (he always pre-bought one for me knowing I...
I agree. My 20 Laramie and 21 Limited, both with air have been the best riding vehicles I've owned in a very long time, including F150, GM 1500's, Chrysler 300, Caddy ATS, Yukon and Yukon XL's, etc.... The only vehicle that road better in the last 20 years that I've owned is the Buick Park Ave...
My 20 Laramie ORG came with 18" silver they call aluminum painted, but I don't think they look too bad. My 21 Limited ORG came with 20" they call polished wheels with inserts, that certainly look nicer, but I prefer the 18" for function over looks.
Agree, my '20 has the slip joint problem since about 5K on it till now with 15K, just don't have time to take it in. My '21 so far with 10K on it doesn't show any slip joint symptoms. Both my trucks are the longer beds if it matters.
And I also had this problem with a couple GM's.
man, I must be in the minority. I think current Ram lighting in and out is some of the best I've owned. Coming from 15 GM's and Fords, mostly GM's. Have laramie and limited with LED stuff.
I have two, 20 Laramie and 21 Limited that I leave for months at a time. Was concerned about this. I unplug all USB stuff, turn off the radio (large screen), and lower the air ride to exit (so it's not hunting to maintain a higher level which it does naturally). Haven't had any issues even 3...
I have both. Started with a laramie loaded up, bought off the floor. My second truck I ordered and wanted the same exact truck. BUT, a dealer friend convinced me to go with the Limited I then ordered. It was a little more $, but he convinced and proved to me that when I trade, which I do...
If it's in 4-auto only, my guess is it's the front prop shaft (out of balance), which turns when in 4-auto, but not in 2WD.
I have two Ram's and when I first ran them in 4-auto, I did notice some very small differences in vibration (very faint), but the more I ran it that way, it smoothed out to...
Just a guess, maybe the Active-Tuned Mass Modules (ATMM), attached the frame, I believe in the area under the feet?
I think there are two of them, maybe one is bad?
Fair enough. If/when they get there, then I will concede. I don't think they will. I think there are other reasons for the big EV push, all mostly political.
SpeedyV, your missing a very important point: A loaded semi is 80,000 lbs. Way different than my total of 10,000 for LD truck and trailer. It's all about 'work'. Lots of smoke and mirrors going around (both for and against EV).
I'm willing to bet big money (in escrow) that we won't see an...
That works. Or convert gal of gas to BTU's (energy unit), then that BTU number to Kwh's. The reason I used 30 gals is because that's what I use in a weekend to tow a trailer 2-3hrs each way, so 5-6hr drive. Tow a 5K lb trailer a lot. I get 10mpg.
So using a current/proposed EV truck, I...
Let me know when they can get 1000 Kwh of stored energy (batteries) on board. The equivalent of 30 gal of gas.
I think Ford is saying under 200 Kwh's currently?
I've just been driving my '20 in 4auto for the first time, and when temps were in the teens I noticed it dragging a touch. Then it warmed up to 30's and I didn't notice it. Like others have said, it's probably temp related with warming the front gear up.
OR I've been driving in 4 auto a lot...
My experience as well. About 1 extra second to wait in and out. My brain has almost adjusted to it after a year of ownership. I like them.
I have another Ram without power boards, and I put Dominator D6 boards on it. I generally don't like boards because of how far most of them stick out, so...
