Sorry to be pointed, but this is a great example of why not to do this kind of thing. Probably the best thing about the Ram 1/2 ton is the ride quality and NVH, particularly for a truck. When you add aggressive tires, you are degrading the ride quality, increasing noise, decreasing the...
Above is all good advice.
I would reiterate: ask for service records. Any car or truck with any kind of mileage, even much lower mileage, is a pig in a poke without records.
Secondarily, I would also have the truck inspected by a good shop. This way to the extent there are issues coming up...
I think the takeaway here is that the Ram 1500 is the nicest truck in its class. Not that the others, particularly the Silverado and F150, aren’t nice, but I think the Ram has them beat overall. My Ram 1500 is the best vehicle I have ever owned and I have been fortunate to have some really...
We have a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab with the 5.7 and e torque. We have the level 2 package so it is really well equipped. 3.92 rear end.
We leased it originally because I had questions about reliability. I wanted a Tundra 1794, but my wife and kids wanted the Ram. So I was a skeptic...
I would keep them clean - remove all salt and other dirt and grime with warm water (out of a garden spray nozzle, no pressure washing), clean them with a distilled solution of simple green, and then rinse again with warm water. Clean them in the extended position. Make this part of your...
I am sorry I am not sure what you mean. Pick ups typically have space somewhere on the dash or console where there are either blanks where you can put switches, or switches that are not connected to anything. The purpose is to give the ability to add electrical features. For example, in one...
I would think the additional upfitter switches are the dash are the more appropriate way (more professional, more integrated) than using the buttons designed for the garage door remote. That would bother me as tacked on.
For the seats, if they are not leather, you can try the upholstery tool that often comes with commercial grade carpet cleaners of the type you rent at, for example, Home Depot.
Headliner may be impossible to deal with short of replacing it. If you are going to replace it, and don't care about...
Additional thought is to check the laws where you live. The strip across the top is probably OK, but you never know. Tinting whole front windshield likely illegal. I know enforcing the motor vehicle laws is now considered equivalent to state-sanctioned racism in many jurisdictions, but it...
Honestly, unless you have some sort of specific need for Homelink (which I have always found to be a royal PITA to program on all of our cars (maybe it's because our openers use rolling codes, don't know), why not just get a brand name opener on Amazon and program it yourself? I don't know what...
No.
I don't like the look (subjective) and I don't want anyone messing with the truck or getting anything wet or otherwise screwed up during the install.
Finally, I would always keep good sunglasses (corrective if needed) in the car.
That is good to know. In Maryland you get the title, with a lien. Explained that to CC to no avail, but in the big scheme not a huge mistake on their part.
A little late to the discussion but I just went through the process with Chrysler Capital and so I thought adding that experience could be helpful.
We wanted to buy out our 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie - truck is loaded and about 60 days before lease end, the dealer started calling / emailing. No...
Sounds like a really nice truck. Congrats and good luck with it! Funny you mentioned the liner and bed cover - I added those too and they are really useful as well. I bought the Mopar tri fold bed cover and it does a really nice job of keeping our horse related equipment perfectly dry when we...
I have both the large screen and the HK system. They are nice but hardly life altering. If I were looking for a used truck, I would prioritize condition, mileage, and service history over toys, assuming the prices are similar. If you are towing, I would prioritize the 3.91 rear end as it is...
Also forgot to mention keep the pano roof shade closed in the summer and cracking the rear vent window a couple of inches helps too to keep the interior from resembling the surface of the sun. HTH.
We have a 20 1500 Laramie, white over black with the pano roof. AC works fine and ventilated seats help with the heat. We also use a windshield shade in our cars as it really gets hot here in the summer.
Congratulations. Good luck with the truck. If you haven’t done so already, cross check the price of the extended warranty with Zeigler - thanks to advice here I saved a lot of money on the 8/85 $200 I purchased.
Again, best of luck with your truck.
