I run a 20x10 -19 wheel with a 33x12.5 tire and it has been functional for me. I’ve had no issues with chips from it kicking rocks up. Strangely enough the only chip I have from a rock getting kicked up is from when I was still on stock wheels/tires.
I have no rubbing and did no trimming, but I...
No, my truck did not have air from the factory. I used the following parts; of course these don’t apply if you’re an air ride equipped truck.
Mopar UCA (same ones the Mopar lift):
Right 68323530AA
Left 68323531AA
Mopar ORP Front Springs:
Right: 68320250AB
Left: 68320249AC
Motofab 2” Front...
I have a 2wd and I decided to do a 3.5” lift using a variety of parts that I paired together.
I would either do a 3.5” lift or go the spindle route as said above.
I agree with the above statement. I would run the Mopar UCAs for a budget friendly option; I got mine for roughly $98. Their part numbers are below if you want to check them out.
Right 68323530AA
Left 68323531AA
I used the Motofab Lifts DR-2.0R for my rear lift and Rough Country’s N3 shock for the rear, part number 23161_J.
I personally like the way my truck rides. When I had the lift and was still on stock wheels and tires I felt like it had a good ride. It was more firm than stock, but I liked it...
The more coats you use the more durable it will be in the long run. I always aim for 6-8 coats when I used plastidip so that it holds up overtime and easy to remove. So far it hasn’t failed me yet.
I think you have a good plan now. The only thing that I would point out is that a lot of people leave a little bit of rake in the back so that the truck looks level. Mine sits one inch higher in the back than the front and everyone I have asked thinks it looks dead level. This also helps for...
It sounds like any of the lift options your are considering will need UCAs. I would run new UCAs on anything more than a 2.5” lift. You would probably be safe to run the 5100s at the third clip and keep your 2.5” leveling kit. That would put you right at 3.4” of lift over stock. I would not run...
Correct, the rear shock lift height that you see listed is in correlation with the amount the rear is lifted. It’s to make sure that you aren’t overextending or bottoming out the shock during normal suspension travel.
I personally wouldn’t run the 5100s with the ORP springs any higher than what bilstein recommends, no matter if the truck was a stock ORP truck or not. You have to remember that the higher the spring perch the more stress that you are putting the spring under and in turn the worse the ride will...
To add another option to the list I would look at the following thread:
https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/orp-springs-leveling-kit-on-2019-ram-1500.23299/
I have some decent information in my “build” that documents everything I used. I gained 3.5” in the front and 2” in the back. I...
Just finished up the red overlays on the rear, figured it was a good time to post up some rear shots. I think all of the overlays really helped to bring the red together. Now I’m staring at my exhaust tips and wondering if I should go red or white with them.
I run a 20x10 with a -19 offset and 33x12.5 tires. This is how far mine stick our currently. I personally like how far they stick out, but just a fair warning they do throw dirt and water (when it rains) onto the sides.
Thank you! It’s funny that you bring up a pin stripe, I have thought about adding some sort of graphic to the bed in the same red. But of course I haven’t found anything I like. It’s a tough balance with having enough red to make it look intentional, but not going way over the top.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Thank you! I knew going down this route that it would be very unique and some people would love/hate it. But so far I personally like it.
