Yours is the original design where the front lip is angled 90 degrees down. The newer iteration has the front lip angled up, same direction as the side fins. That adds an inch or so of clearance between the sway bar and the Skeerdy plate.
Just installed mine today... based my product choice on...
I don't see what all the fuss about "the sway bar in the way" refrain. A quick wipe and brake cleaner spray should take care of it in like 15 seconds, as you said.
Now, if you have skid plates, and especially something like the Skeerdy Cat transmission/catalytic shield, then something like a...
Actually, I'm still getting a similar behavior. In my case, whenever the front sensors are triggered when vehicle in D, front camera comes on (along with 360 camera view), and remains on for however long the trip is or until I put the vehicle in reverse. Until then, the 12" screen is...
I have the Tazer DT and its value to me boils down to 1) the newly added anti-theft layer (PIN LOCK) and 2) the side mirrors auto-fold. The first is obvious and the second is of real value for someone like me who frequents city parking lots with tight per-vehicle spaces.
As for recalibrating...
I have the following settings enabled: PIN Brakes, PIN Lights, PIN Pedal, and KillByFob.
When I lock the vehicle using the key fob, I get a honk, followed by two quick front brakes actuations, then another honk. When I unlock the vehicle using the same key fob, I hear the front brakes...
I had the same issue... tailgate slightly shifted to passenger side. What drew my attention to it is the effect it had on my BakFlip MX4 bed cover. When I let the rearmost cover panel fall into place, its left tap would not engage with the left cover rail unless I gently tap the cover down where...
Don't bother with the digital rearview mirror if you wear progressive lenses. You need to look at the mirror funny to avoid the optical blur. Flipping the mirror to standard view resolves this issue.
It's all about how optics work. What you see in the standard mirror through the upper right...
I probably did not perform the Reboot cycle properly as you said.
However, the whole thing started when the auto start/stop turned off my RAM at a prolonged traffic light stop, and when I moved again, the vehicle behaved as if it went into a Hijack mode.
The good news is, a properly executed...
Follow-up:
Did not hear from z Automotive since my late Friday inquiry.
Left the vehicle parked over the weekend.
Yesterday, I did one Reboot-Sleep-Sleep cycle without driving. Error messages (Service AWD, Shifter position, ...etc) and engine light were still present before the Reboot and I...
I just downloaded and ran the ZPU, connected the Tazer to my laptop and hit the update button and the latest two versions were there to choose from.
So I guess, yeah... ZPU direct.
Any one having PIN Lock related issues caused by an active Start/Stop feature in their HEMI eTorque 1500 RAM?
Here's what happened twice today with my 2023 Longhorn (Long Post):
First incident:
---------------
Happened this morning after I installed the Tazer DT, set a PIN code, tested it...
I guess I'm concerned that cloning the key fob will clone the Killbyfob ability as well, which would be a security breach.
For what its worth, I just confirmed that locking with one key fob and unlocking with the other will not bypass the PIN, as stated to me by z Automotive.
The Killbyfob is an optional feature of the PIN Lock which you may or may not enable. When disabled (default) the PIN will always be needed, however you lock and unlock your vehicle. When enabled, then you can bypass entering the PIN, provided you lock and unlock the vehicle using the physical...
Just installed Tazer DT on my 2023 1500 Longhorn and programmed a PIN. Be aware that PIN Lock Enable is off by default and needs to be toggled on after coding the PIN.
I mistakenly assumed that the Full Reboot + two sleep cycles sequence is only required when changing non-Live Vehicle Settings...
