I have a 2000 Chevy that developed that clunk. Eventually they had to replace the "spider gears" in the rear end to fix it. Back then they said the root cause was putting the truck in park after backing up without coming to a complete and full stop.
Hopefully just an alignment job or something minor. X2 on these dealers not knowing how to service anything anymore. If I heard one more time that, "...it requires a software upgrade that isn't available yet..." I would've lost my mind with my former ecodiesel.
