Oh for those looking for an inexpensive but decent looking tonneau, look at 1:55 into the video. That is a Tuxedo Truxport tonneau cover for $299 bucks. I have one on my 21 WITH the multi-function tailgate. Works well looks decent.
I had a shifter on my 2013 and was initially turned off by it, but as time and two more trucks have gone by, I've gotten used to it and actually kind of like it. I believe the TRX still has a stick? maybe that new TRX lite version?
You have a point. But...can you do this? At 50 bucks a night? And about half the nights were zero to 20 bucks. And I'm pretty handy on trailer fixes and cash flow is only 200 bucks a month... You do make good points and we also do what you do particularly in the winter. It's not for everyone. We...
It was on the truck I bought. I shrugged as I didn't really care one way or the other. I had read up on them and could see some of the advantages as I tow a travel trailer... Now, after four months, I absolutely love the MFT. No issues as a regular tailgate has roughly the same kinds of issues...
This is the inexpensive way to do a tonneau with a Rambox https://truxedo.com/product-detail/284901 No, you will not get 100% watertight, but using the foam tape stuff strategically, I have about 98% including just a couple of spots in a carwash... AND, from 20 feet or so, you can't tell the...
You might want to put a link to instructions on how to "adjust" the Rambox doors. I'm interested... And for those wondering about the step. The first time I used it, I practically had to stand on it to get it to drop. After just a couple of times it is easy peasy and can come in handy but less...
The Ramboxes and the multi-function tailgate/step and bed utility system (spray in bedliner/divider) were already on the one I got off the lot. I was ambivalent about everything except the spray on bedliner. I think these things are NOT for everyone and I did just fine without them on my...
Having had a 3.92 and now the 3.21 rear end, the eco light came on quite a bit with the 3.92 and now with the 3.21, it seldom comes on unless you are going downhill for quite a ways. I'm almost surprised when I see it now days. It was a constant flickering, that I "stimulus generalized" on the...
This is the video that convinced me to go ahead with the 3.21 rear end in the unit I wanted on the lot a Built to Serve... After having a 3.92 for six years I do notice the difference in HOW it toes using the transmission more than the gearing, but I'm fine with it. I notice in the video they...
I have the 3.21 and hit 268/9 on mountains pretty consistently. I think my highest was 272. Based upon my research, this isn't a big deal. Normal driving is around low 230's.
Unless you tow a lot. Then a 3.92 might save you money. I'm on my last camping trip for this year and am right at 8 mpg. I got close to 9 in my 2015 same kind of towing, lot of mountains. The DT, however is a much better tow beast in a lot of subtle ways. And the 2015 was not bad at all. Oh, big...
Just start doing a search on like Car Gurus or Autotrader to see what's available. You got a few Bighorns without the things you want, a few Laramies with more than you want or can afford OR, some 75K limiteds... AND, 3/4 of them are quad cabs.
LOL, I was going to go look for a pic just like the one you put in. YEP, I remember that. Ugliest car I ever saw. Big fat ***, skinny tires, practically rolled over going around a corner... Funny looking things...
Essentially, what I have come down to has been a process of elimination. I have a list of things I "must have." I tow a 6700 lb travel trailer (28 feet).
As a result, the Tradesman is out as being too basic for my "wants/needs." The Limited is way too much for mostly a bunch of bells and...
