Yet Ford and GM (and Ram used to) spit out tons of trucks a day and ship them right out.
No one here knows, it's likely a QA hold. My '19 was built and shipped right out, it does no good for them to build them and store them, unless they're waiting to fill up a truck or train car...
Can't say I'm surprised. At almost 63k miles and mine look good.
I had a 2020 Chevy Equinox and turned it in after 3.5 years, 182k miles with its original brakes...
Crazy, I've had two '19s, both pretty flawless. My ordered '19 was built in June 2018 and I sold it when I went back to a company car a year later. Bought my current Limited a few years ago, built 6 months after my first and problem free.
I spent some time on reddit last night. IMO, these 2025s will be trouble. This is far from how the 2019 launch went.
Stellantis is doing a great job killing a once great Brand
Read the manual?
Clicking the fast forward button a few times should do it.
Or look in the settings, there should be one which says something like start at the start of the song when you switch channels.
Many vehicles don't offer that feature, personally I like how I can rewind in the Ram...
Not necessarily true. My '16 F150 was built at Dearborn and funny/not funny, all the F150s at a dealership in Saline, MI, (not far from Dearborn) were built in KC.
Unlike Ford and GM, only one plant builds Ram 1500s. The GM twins are built in Ft Wayne, IN and Mexico.
I'd agree with you on that, but this "launch" was largely unchanged when you compare it to the 2019 launch, that didn't have issues like this. This has Stellantis all over it...
7,000 trucks likely isn't just parked around SHAP, but in lots around Detroit. I was up around Dearborn and Grosse...
I recently took a tour of Ford's Dearborn plant (where they make 1,000+ F150s a day) and we walked past a QA parking lot (not sure if this was the only one). You could see writing on the trucks what their issue was (some said water pump, etc), and while the lot was full, there was only about 40...
ZF makes the transmission, a key element to the Ram 1500.
If Ram truly has that many built trucks in inspection status, it only makes sense that they'd slow or stop the production line...
Day after you bought it? I'd find a way to send it back and undo that deal.
Long term you may be OK, but plenty of trucks out there that didn't have an issue on day one...
Likely due to a build issue or QA hold. Not sure if there is a separate code for "QA Hold" or if it's just shipped to storage.
IMO, they have to have a reason for the truck to be held and not shipped out immediately...
The Sterling Heights area has got to be swimming with trucks parked all around. Typically, JB would be a 2-3 day process for most trucks (step bars, spray in liner, etc).
Sounds like it won't be long now! Can't wait to see some of these trucks.
I had the chance to grab a '25 big horn as my...
