They replied and they have excellent pricing. After seeing that price and the photo of the Patriot Blue with Night Edition (damn you @jmrhodes212), I sent them a new build opting for Night Edition over Elite Package and will be ordering that once they reply to me again. Based on my estimates...
As much as I don't want accept it, all of you are right. It does make a lot more sense to order today and accept the price because it will only continue to go up and my trade-in will continue to go down.
I reached out to Koons last night as I realized they're only ~350 miles from me (idk why...
Yea I'm really at a loss on what to do here. Not sure I'm going to be able to find a great dealer in my area and the savings vs travel/delivery fees doesn't make sense for ordering from MD or others. Currently floating between these 3 options:
Order from that PA dealer that quoted me $72,500...
I wish I knew. Not to mention, it took me 4 calls and over 6 hours just to get that answer.
I emailed the same salesman right after asking him to give me an out-the-door price on my new build (I should mention he built my initial build wrong). Absolutely 0 reply from them. So I guess they just...
My disappoint is immeasurable. Finally heard back from the dealer and that truck was a "custom order for the owner" to use for advertising and they won't sell to me unless I pay MSRP.
Window sticker says $83,355, which is actually $500 cheaper than using Rams online builder 🎉. Just went over my build sheet from this dealer and they added the Elite package and tailgate even though it's included. So I'd have to guess invoice for this window sticker build would be right around...
I'm going to call tomorrow and make sure that I'm getting somewhere near invoice like they told me for my custom build. Custom build was somewhere around $74k, have to imagine swapping Elite for Night edition will add another ~$3k. So if I am told a price of around $76k or $77k, I think I'll be...
I didn't even think of checking MD for something similar to my build. Looks like that ones missing the Multi-Functional tailgate too. But seeing those photos of Patriot Blue with Night Edition...I think I'm going to really like this truck when it comes in.
Think I've decided to call back...
I'll have to look at it closer. Don't think I've ever seen that combo in person before. I'm sure I will love it either way, just not the extra $3k it adds lol
This is probably sad and may get my man card revoked but, payload and towing capacity isn't a big factor for me. 90% of this trucks...
Patriot Blue Pearl. I do like the Night Edition, just not as much when it's on the blue which is why my build stuck with the chrome.

I'm not joking when I say, it is literally identical to...
Just discovered the dealer a few minutes away from me is getting in almost my exact build, only difference is it has the Night Edition instead of the Elite Package (but still has Multi-Function Tailgate and Bed Utility Group). But same color and every other option. Just called and requested they...
Yea I would hate to lose out on that tax credit. Even with MDs great quote, losing out on that tax credit would essentially be the same as buying the truck near me for $2k more. Plus it removes the headache of finding a buy for my trade-in.
This is more of me not understanding, but don't I save on my county tax as well? That's also 4%, so 8% total for county and car tax giving me a savings of ~$1840.
I was expecting a $1k deposit and some sort of pre-approval. But hearing the 5% and full approval already had me hesitant before the whole trade-in ordeal.
I'm having the same issue, I mention MDs quote and they find every excuse in the book as to why I'm not actually getting a good deal and...
Crazy times for sure. I'm really starting to lean to just ordering from MD and selling my car outright since the dealers around me are not willing to work with me at all. But I guess I should reach out to a few more dealers before I go that route.
Oh I see your location as "Macedon NY" now 🤦♂️. That's actually only ~2.5 hours from me. If you think your friend could help me out, I would definitely be willing to make that drive since the dealers near me are not the greatest it seems. Although would be ideal if I only had to make that drive...
I'm in the US, New York to be specific. Sorry, not a down payment, but a deposit. They said it would be applied as part of my down payment once the truck came in.
On top of the 5%, they also required a full loan approval (hard credit hit), instead of just a pre-approval. Their reasoning for...
Well I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling uncomfortable with the deals I'm getting. Don't suppose your dealer friend wants another friend? lol
This makes me feel better though and now I know I should definitely keep shopping around. Thank you
Both of the dealers I've gone too have required a ~5% down payment for the truck and have claimed that once I place the order, that truck is mine and there's no backing out.
I should reach out to MD again and have them price my slightly different build and see what they say. At the very least I...
