Could be.
Mine is a 2021. It went through the winter of 21/22 just fine. But this fall, after a few good freeze/thaw cycles is when I noticed the leak. No visible frame cracking.
I got my truck back yesterday. A bit of a fiasco...only due to the lack of comms. Apparently, the glass company (the dealer outsourced it to a VERY well-regarded auto glass company) needed my Retrax tonneau cover removed. No one told me. Shrug.
So, early this morning I got my rear ceramic film...
The class-action lawsuit should recompense every owner who has had this done, the cost (if any paid), AND a "consideration" for time and vehicle being out of use.
Additionally, every rear window should be granted a 10 year/120,000mile warranty.
In case any lawyer is looking at this thread...
Watertight...not going to happen unless you get one of the fiberglass lids that cover the entire bed.
My buddy had one. It did the job, and very well, but it was a pita when he wanted to carry large items. It only lifted up about 2' (rough guess). So, if he wanted to put something (a grill?)...
1. Rear window/brake leak
1b. Rear speaker cutout
2. Active Tuned Mass issue
3. Tick before warmed up
4. Sudden (?) large mileage loss
And a bad dealer.
The bad dealer issue is the icing on the cake. It sets the mood and infuses every bite. ;)
Number 1 should have been a goodwill repair...
In the other thread, I mentioned that I dropped my truck off yesterday for a rear window swap. (I'll eat the cost of the aftermarket ceramic tint and dashcam mount replacement. Thanks, Ram.)
They say I'll get it back today. Shrug.
When I do get it, if it's good and I accept it, I'll clean it...
I'm no expert, but... :)
The CP4.1 has ".1" to signify a single-piston pump. The CP4.2 has a two-piston pump, hence the ".2". Both of them have the roller-bearing-in-a-cup-against-a-cam design.
From what I can see, both the CP4.1 and the CP4.2 have a two-lobe cam with the lobes 180^ apart...
Having seen the video, linked upstream, I would PREFER to retrofit a Bosch CP3 style pump, since it eliminates any chance of this particular failure.
How does the later CP4.2 differ from the earlier ones? (<- No, I don't expect you to have the answer, but maybe someone does.)
I think the EPA controls the fuel delivery requirements. They do it by some convoluted methodology that is as bad as you'd think it would be. AIUI, the fuel trucks cannot be used for different fuel blends without being cleaned out, raising the cost of delivery and the overall headache factor...
Don't watch it: report it to the dealer and get an invoice, in writing, stating your concern about the recirc fan.
If you do this, it'll function normally. If you don't, it will fail in 91 days, just after the warranty expires. ;)
Seriously, if it didn't work when/how you wanted, let them run...
Last night I hit 19,000 miles. (BTW, only 380 hours of non-idle on the engine. Those are exact numbers. So, yeah, I guess my truck has a 50mph average so far in its life. ;) )
Oil at 2,500, then every 7,500. I use Amsoil cetane boost AND Amsoil deisel injector clean/lubricant every fill up...
Okay...
My dealer has my replacement rear window in hand. My appointment is for next week.
Follow along:
1. These windows have a frame that is pre-attached.
2. The window/frame assembly is installed by running a (heavy?) bead of sealant around the opening in the truck body. (Hopefully the...
My case, wet seat and carpet, heavy condensation on the interior.
The leak is hidden. No cracked frame, no cracked glass. It is from the top left corner.
Yeah, their comms are not the best. ;)
This is a side-thing for him/them, is my guess. I had a 6-week (ish?) wait to hear back and then a month (more or less?) to then got confirmation I'd get it, and then a week or two later (?), I got a shipping notification. THAT, the UPS shipping, was...
Reach out to @RamCares . I'd bet they could do something. They've already hit this thread just upstream.
(Worst case, keep your receipts. That class-action lawsuit may give you some relief.)
F106SX
It lets you "aim" the nozzle to where you want. It is nipple-less (sad Fumoto ;) ), so you need to use the included plastic elbow and length of tube.
Cut the tube to length (whatever works for you). Attach the tube to the elbow. I use a screw clamp, because hot oil will expand the...
