Yeah, it was definately a bummer! Other than the moldings not being straight, the finish was very impressive. I wonder if the moldings that are on the Limited are also made in Taiwan as they appear identical other than the "Limited" logo. The dealer I bought it from was awesome and sent me a...
A few weeks ago I ordered a OEM Mopar Accessories Body Side Molding kit for my 2019 Longhorn. It arrived securley packed with each piece in it's own foam channel and everything looked near perfect in appearance. The kit is manufactured in Tiawan and includeds 8 moldings; 4 for the doors, 2 for...
Your welcome. Yes, maybe it is your monitor but it is a "very close" match; perfect might not have been the word to use. They do have different colors.
www.heskins.us there in butler PA. You can call and request samples that they will send you free of charge. I used the less aggressive material and the color match is perfect for the Ivory Tri Coat. Hope this helps.
I would apply flowable silicone along the top of the rear window if mine were to crack and leak since its really just a cosmetic issue. Not worth the risk of damage to the vehicle by techs who dont care about a quality job, plus the risk of it cracking again and having to replace it in the future.
Yeah, it's too bad there is very little attention to detail nowadays. When I had my shop my reputation was everything, and I valued that. I've seen so much shoddy workmanship in my time, but very little pristine work. Everything seems to be based on volume; not pride in workmanship.
Many years in the classic car restoration field back in the day when shortcuts were not taken; at least in my shop. Even with careful prep work, to a trained eye there will always be tell tail signs of masked off areas.
Apply flowable silicone along the top of the rear glass as it is not a structural issue. There are posts showing pictures of this, and where the leaks are coming from. If my rear window trim did eventually crack and start leaking, I would do the above rather than have the truck torn apart...
Maybe it's possible that the lean on the drivers side is to compensate for the "crown" in the roads? If the road crowns to the right then the lean to the left on a vehicle would more or less give a "level" ride side to side. My 2019 Laramie Long Horn sits about .5" lower on the drivers side...
Touch free washes are the only way I wash my Ram if I dont have time to hand wash. The wash near where I live is state of the art and has a few different levels of washes. I get the wash with the "Gatlin gun" side blaster and undercarriage wash during the winter. All in all, the final result is...
I used to own a cladded Chevrolet Avalanche back in the day, and they were notorious for having faded, zebra striped TPO plastic from the mold release agents reacting from the heat of the sun. GM's TSB was the application of TS1. The product is awesome and in the 7 years of ownership, only...
If I had to access the shark fin from underneath, I would slightly lower the headliner, open the rear slider and reach in through the opening to get to the shark fin. I would think doing it that way would eliminate any chance of creasing the headliner. Would this approach work?
I would try pushing down on the cap with your hand while turning. As I remember, most caps have a detent or tang to prevent them from popping off if someone were to open it up when the coolant was hot.
Cool! Yes, definately better working conditions when the weather is warmer. I installed mine a few months ago, before the cold snap here in the NE; even working in a semi heated garage, the floor is still ice cold! Okay, keep us posted and stay safe!
Glad I could help. Yes, the only way to contact them is by calling! Lol old fashioned for sure, but excellent customer service which today's high technology cannot duplicate! Dont forget pictures after your installation.
It was $235.00 plus shipping from the West coast, and it comes with detailed instructions. I'm using a larger Mopar filter (dont remember the part number off hand), but I did have to add an extra 3/4 qt when I changed the oil.
