Yes, 275/70r18 will fit without any modifications.
A 295/70r18 or 285/75/18 might fit, but it will definitely require fender well massaging, and would probably find other spots to rub if pressed off road.
It sorta seems like you came on here to help (thanks!) but then it seems like someone peed in your Cheerios (no thanks!).
Forums are full of info I don’t agree with and armchair mechanics, but it’s not useful to have a p!ssing match with a senior member.
Some of what you said is valid, only...
I never quite understood this myself.
Either wait until the warranty is up and the warranty DEFINITELY is not going to cover problems, or do it now and MAYBE the problem will be covered.
I’ll take maybe and enjoy now.
Studs maybe, since the spacer is shorter than the typical 2” spacer?
If sawzall was used for anything other than that, I’d wager he’s got bigger problems today.
If you’re not actually bashing it off road and want a high quality on road ride to go with a nice stance, just grab either a Bilstien or an Eibach kit, Pair it with a ~11.5” wide or less tire (295 section width or less) and call it a day.
Each has a couple options to tailor to your price &...
Top speed governor has little to do with power as you know. More to do with tire speed ratings and driveshaft rotation limits.
But yes I’ve raised mine (different truck, not a hurricane) to 120 with a driveshaft loop and confirmed tires support it.
Can’t wait for actual tuning for these, but...
I’m running a 295/75r18 so that pretty much puts me in the E range/ LT tire class. Which is why weight was pretty important.
I chose the Bridgestone Dueler Revo3 because it was about the lightest option in that size AND had great all around reviews.
The runner up was the Firestone Destination...
AT is definitely one of the more crowded categories of tire.
Helps to start with what you prioritize - weight, appearance, size options, brand, snow performance, highway performance, etc.
Figure out what's important to you, shortlist a few options using Tirerack.com scores and reviews. Lots...
This place is great with tons of advice. But sometimes (ok often) it layers in the unsolicited kind. You know your situation best, internet strangers are always full of it!
I’m beyond frustrated with this engine for you and all the owners and I don’t even own the engine! The promise of a...
Glad to see it’s at least a Tradesman and not some $75k limited.
Still a new vehicle puts one immediately upside down. Combine that the fact that if you’re in dire straights from a situation like his then actually no, you can’t afford it. Sorry man.
I’m 100% sure you raised these kids Right...
I have many close friends who subscribe to a more liberal mindset. Including my actual best friend of 35 years.
As someone with a more conservative mindset, that doesn’t bother me in the least but it drives them crazy.
They all have something in common:
I try to do the mental exercises and...
I don’t understand how someone could wonder about this.
We’ve all literally lived through both candidates’ administrations.
Turns out bad orange man didn’t destroy the country.
The other administration tried their best to, but we’re holding on.
This should be the simplest, most easy to...
For me it’s 2 things:
1). Foreign policy: International relations are a tinderbox at the moment and a top priority for me with friends and family serving along with the future of my children to think about.
Neither candidate can guarantee world peace but we actually have demonstrable and...
Your damping from the shocks should be fine but you may need more weight carrying capability.
I’d suggest revising your options to:
1) Calling your original Carli vendor, or CJC Off-road, and inquiring about higher rates rear coil springs. (Did your current setup reuse the stock rear springs?)...
Me too! And don’t forget to smell the dipstick too. Tells you a lot, and ironically would be useful for monitoring fuel dilution in a DI vehicle. I enjoy the looks I get sometimes at the gas station when doing so.
