Please come back and give us your impressions of the Fox 2.0’s!! Should certainly be better than Bilstien at low speed. Thank you in advance.

That doesn’t sound good at all. Would have to believe timing is seriously pulled at those temps.
Were you watching IAT’s before the swap?
Would be super interesting to compare to stock.
IMHO lift kits are just for looks, or muddin’.
If neither of those are your priority then a level will give you more options, easier install, better handling and less of a hit to resale (reversible).
I mean, I could frame a house using a ball peen hammer. But it’s going to suck.
Otherwise I agree with the theory that properly setup and driven there is no reason a 1500 can’t tow right up to its rated limit.
And engine power is never the limiting factor.
But if I have to do it often, may...
This is very true.
Hybridized regenerative braking remedies much of this and is actually pretty cool, but then you’re back to what I don’t like about any advanced tech… just more systems to fail.
TBF, another 5 year Husky flap user with no issues. I thought for sure they’d get torn off long ago, but they still look great and allow me to run 34’s without any trimming.
I’m not saying a Hellcat isn’t cooler than some EV; it definitely is.
Just saying speed isn’t the sole, or even leading, characteristic of some of these awesome ICE cars that makes them so awesome.
EVs have commoditized quickness at least, if not speed itself, and made it consistently...
Once you go enclosed you’re no longer pulling a trailer, but a parachute.
The engine works harder to pull even the same weight.
But, I’d bet it’s fine from a drivetrain perspective. I’d just monitor temps closely, as boost creates heat. If things get warm, use the transmission gear selector...
There’s an Off stood Group package even for air suspension trucks purported to include “HD Shocks” or “off road tuned” shocks, depending where n what marketing materials you are looking at.
So I presume the difference is just the shock body. But what the difference is, whether it’s truly a...
Yes, either would be good candidates for the rear as they can accommodate the range of ride heights.
Rear shocks are physically separate from the air bags in the rear and mount in traditional fashion.
This is a nearly impossible question to answer - as in, better in what way?
Limiting the question to engine choice alone is tough, expanding to the total vehicle and all their possible trims… well, as stated earlier - not enough BS in your life??
It’s time to start driving a bunch of trucks...
Ah good to know. I’ve only looked at some of his more popular suspension videos.
I’ve long been a “as low as possible, as high as necessary” guy when it comes to leveling / lifts, just based on experience and the mechanics of installing / working on IFS. Kai actually puts it into good words...
