I never had any specific noises I could pin point on my truck for wind noise. But that was really my only complaint with my 19 Hemi truck and my 20 ecodiesel. I always thought the cabin wasn’t nearly as quiet on the highway as I would expect. Now that I have my new Silverado it is noticeably...
Yes it is the 6.6 gas. I’m at almost 1k miles now and getting 16mpg on my work commute which I am thoroughly impressed with. My boss has a 2018 F350 with the powerstroke and he said thats the same mpg he gets with his diesel. I’ll be pulling our current trailer on a trip fairly soon and report...
One last update, it took a couple tries but my local dealer got the alignment and steering wheel all straightened for me. They didn’t mention anything about the tires so that was nice. Here is a picture of the truck with K02’s, looks pretty slick. I also attached a picture of the towing sticker...
This is our 17’ Grey Wolf RV fish house. It’s actually about 26’ total length. Got a bigger trailer being built so I sold the truck and will be selling the trailer when the new one is done.
That’s cool, Glacier makes those now for the RV fish house rigs. You can haul your toy and then they actually have ice holes on the patio so you can sit outside and fish too if you want.
I don’t have any experience with 22” tires but I always like to tell people if you can avoid going with an LT tire you’ll be happier. There is just no way around it, LT tires are heavier and ride harsher even if aired down.
Yeah I’m curious to see the new interiors and tech. My buddy just bought his wife a brand new highlander. Paid 40k for it and he raves about the thing. I actually drove it a few month ago and was not impressed. The interior was cheap feeling and outdated.
Yeah I get it. My first two trucks were a Sierra and then a Silverado. I‘ve had Rams for the last 10 years. If the HD Rams had the new DT cab I would have been adamant about sticking with Ram
Thanks. Yeah this truck actually has the full protection package on it. Already ceramic coating on the paint and wheels, full rust proofing and undercoating. Even has the interior protected for seats and all dash material. Everything is warranties for 7-10 years depending on what part of the truck.
Well, thought I’d update if anybody is interested. Flew out to Milwaukee on Monday to get my new truck and drive it home. Noticed immediately that something seems off with the steering or alignment. Since I was out of town and not familiar with the roads I decided to keep going and see if...
Wow, I can’t believe how much bigger that 285/70/17 looks compared to the 275/70/17. I wanted to go with that size tire for My new 3500 but I couldn’t stomach the price jump.
It’s just certain versions. Every mfg I looked at some of them worked and some of them didn’t. I have Vision Manx 2 on my truck right now but they are 20”
Not all 18” wheels work on our trucks. Make sure before you buy them that the mfg says they’ll work. It took me a lot of searching before I found ones that fit. Most of the ones I wanted to get wouldn’t work. It’s because of the size of the calipers
