I saw another post saying that the rear lifts that come with the RC and RL may not allow for use of the air lift helper bags so the member had to use the spacers from suspension specialists. Anybody have issues using those helpers bags with the RC or RL 3.5" lifts?
I feel like if I was going to spend that much though I would just go with a 4" or 6" kit...I could get everything I mentioned above for $750 and can install it myself, only thing it doesn't have is the rear shocks but even with those I would be in at under $950-$1000. I know the fox shocks are...
The other part of the rear that attaches to the frame to keep the axle from slamming into it. If you look at the SST kit it's the square blocks I believe, it should go between the frame and the factory bump stops which are usually rubber and cone shaped. Not sure what they look like on these trucks.
So I am thinking about ordering the RL 2" leveling kit with the UCAs and tophat spacer, then using the Bilstein 5100s to get the 3.5" that the RL SST kit provides. What is the best way to level out the rear? I haven't really been able to find a standalone rear spacer kit for these trucks. Also...
You have the preload spacer with the Bilstein struts? The bilsteins already compress the spring so much and you are on the 7th setting with an additional spacer in there? What is your reasoning for that instead of just the bilsteins and the tophat spacer?
So you don't have the preload spacer or the tophat spacer? Basically just the bilsteins, UCAs, and rear lift blocks? I've been wanting to do the 5100s (on setting 4 or 5) with the RL tophat spacer, UCAs and rear blocks.
yeah I cant even hear mine when cruising, and barely hear it when stop and go except first thing when I start it. Didn’t notice the mds this morning either
Yeah I went ahead and put some of the permatex on there, seems like it would help or at least not hurt anything. Hopefully this muffler gets a little louder with time, I had the magnaflow muffler on my 4th gen and don’t remember it being quite this quiet. Sounds good still though.
So I just got off the phone with them, they are the same UCAs but unfortunately they won't sell me the 3.5" kit without the preload spacers and I can't order the 2" level kit and add the rear spacers with it, they will only sell the rear spacers with the 3.5" kit. Looks like I would either have...
So I think I'm going to basically do the 3.5" lift from readylift but use Bilstein 5100s instead of the preload spacers. They make a kit that just has the 2" tophat spacer and UCAs but I'm wondering if the control arms between the two kits are the same? Also does anybody know if you can order...
I ordered my exhaust this past weekend and going to be installing it tonight or tomorrow. I saw one guy on here had used the Permatex ultra copper hi temp sealer between the two pipes under the clamp. I've always heard clamps are terrible for exhausts and they need to be welded to ensure no...
I am wanting to possibly wrap my chrome bumpers with vinyl and was wondering if anybody has found one that matches the diamond black crystal color well? Or has anybody used the color x labs website for a "paint to match" vinyl color and was it pretty accurate? I knew I should have gotten the...
