This one apparently has no delay:

Both the opt7 and the putco have 4-pin connectors. I have no idea why one has a 500 millisecond delay and the other does not. But for another $100 you...
I searched and came up empty...
Coming into your final parking spot it takes me a few seconds to fiddle around getting ready for a shutdown and putting the truck into park. What's the best technique to keep the engine running before I shift into park and hit the off button? Seems like I am...
^^^^ this has been my test results with a digital thermometer, so far. The air coming out of the vents is ~~ +10F warmer than the other cars in my driveway I have tested. My older cars also produce air in the high 30s within seconds out of the ducts, this truck produces are in the 50s. And...
I further confirmed today (and I don't think it is in my head) that the hot steering wheel does indeed seem to be controlled by the heated seat setting. I turned the wheel "on" with the seat "off" and it never got blazing hot. I was able to drive with it on constantly - never getting too hot...
Given that I don't live in the snow belt anymore and 99% of my driving is street, in the 5K miles I have on the Goodyear Eagle Touring have been just fine and they seem dead quiet to me during city/highway. Not sure why they get so much hate. Granted you can break the rear loose in the wet...
I was playing with my extra hot steering wheel yesterday while also fiddling with the driver's seat heat. It may be in my head but I noted the wheel felt cooler if my seat heater was turned down. Maybe somehow they're linked? The wheel graphic did not change it did not seem as hot. ymmv.
Yes, 56584 (smack forehead). Sorry, corrected the original post.
Good luck on the tricky part of getting the bar positioned "just right" and secure. Takes too long and fiddly for my liking but the result is really nice when you get it right. Installing the Curt 56584 and wiring, zip-tie-ing...
I think the 55384 gives you a 4-wire plug and then you have to go tap reverse somewhere, a tail-light or elsewhere in the harness.
The Curt 56584 gives you reverse signal at the same plug you plug the bar into. You only have to fashion your bullet connector for the single extra socket in the...
Yesterday I did the physical mounting of the OPT7 triple LED light bar and fiddled around with the positioning to get it clear of the tailgate opening, which is no small challenge.
In my case I mounted the 4 clips on the plastic fascia panel, spaced equidistant across the panel with spacers...
Maybe not an add-on but I find my lane sense mostly annoying and turn it off most of the time. It works fine and is doing what it is supposed to do, I just don't like the feeling of wheel getting jerked (fwiw, I know why it is doing it). If it was a tone only, I'd probably have it on.
I get a blip in this scenario if I have not touched the brake pedal.
I got another from a car decelerating rapidly (slamming on the brakes) in front of me that included a brake application where I did not react quickly enough to the FCW system's liking by braking on my own. It pretty much...
1. I can get the EPA numbers and beat the highway number with minimal effort on my eTorque. Overall I am satisfied, others with different driving styles and those heavier on the gas pedal might not be.
2. I love the eTorque for all the same reasons mentioned above. I do not think I would...
How did you mount these clips?
I don't have my bar yet, but did you find a convenient existing hole to mount them into or do you need to drill a couple to get the clips in the right place?
I get the part about using ss washers to raise the clip up for clearance.
Thanks.
So for a LImited, this bar won't affect any of the electronic tech in the rear end (BLIS, cross traffic, sensors, trailer detection, etc)??
I think it looks fantastic and a good option for protection from following texting and snoozing.
