    ACC/FCW Unavailable Service Required

Ok, I drove about 65 miles towards Tampa yesterday and the lights came on again. I stopped at Lakeland Dodge to see if they could tell me if I have a code. The service writer didn't tell me any codes came up, but gave me a printout stating that I have the ABS module recall that needs to be...

Body mount installed wrong? Need help

Here's the fixes that others have done to remove noises over uneven terrain. Steering assembly replacement for grinding/vibration when turning upper and lower control arm bolts tightened replace the sway bar end links and/or bushings Tighten the top bolt on the front shocks Verify the brake...

    Expanded in floor storage?

They do install from the top. So, what if you fabricated the larger bin with a detachable top lip? You could install the bin from underneath and screw the top lip from inside. So, it would now be a 2 piece install rather than a 1 piece from the top only install. I mean, since you're...

Beamer wave, Jeep ducks, Ram ….?

So, you're saying that the wave is to say "Nice Truck" to a passing RAM? What if it isn't a nice truck? I could understand a wave, a real wave and not some hand signal/gesture type thing, if you saw an old truck and you were in an old truck, to just acknowledge the old truck thing, but waving...

Beamer wave, Jeep ducks, Ram ….?

Lately, it seems I've been waving the middle finger when driving around Orlando. Not sure it's a RAM thing though. :D

    Stellantis CEO Resigns

I have a coworker from the UK. He comes to the US regularly and always asks for a V8 pickup as his rental vehicle. I think there are some in Europe that see what they don't have access to. They don't have the infrastructure in many parts of Europe to support a big truck. They can support the...

    ACC/FCW Unavailable Service Required

I've had the alert come and go many times now and it just cleared again last week. I removed the cover behind the rear view mirror, cleaned the windshield and then also cleaned the lens on the module. After about 30 miles, it cleared. Stayed cleared for a week, then came on for a week and now...

    Aggressive Stance

@PurpleRT, are you referring to the front or rear when discussing the 5100s? It almost sounds like you're referencing the front. I agree 100% that the proper way to lift the front is with the 5100s, 6112s, or something designed for front level. But, you responded when I mentioned a 1" rear...

    Aggressive Stance

What's not right about adding a block? Trucks get blocks for lifts with leaf springs all the time. The block goes under the rear spring giving the lift. It doesn't change the spring in any way. It just lift the lower mount for the spring up. If the stock shock has the travel to accept that...

Beamer wave, Jeep ducks, Ram ….?

Why do you need to wave at strangers? I don't get the idea that because you own a specific product that you're part of a group or a gang.

What did you do to your Ram today???

One month after applying the Avalon King to my wife's car, a bird crapped on the trunk lid. Less than 30 minutes after that, I hosed it off. The trunk had marring where the crap was sitting and it would not come off with a clay bar or even compound. I had to wet sand the trunk of a brand new...

    Aggressive Stance

The spacer that I mentioned above was rear spring spacer for lift. You can remove the wheel studs and install longer studs, but I don't see the point. Taking the wheel off and retorquing after 100 or so miles in big deal. You shouldn't have to retorque them after that unless you remove them.

Plus, I got the 1" spacers for $40. But, as mentioned, the shocks will allow for 1" additional travel, but don't provide any lift.

Mysterious clunk and squeak in my 5th gen ram

There's body flex over bumps or anything. The body mount design shown in the post I linked to shows that the upper 1/2 of the body mounts are part of the issue. Mine would clunk going over a speed bump straight on. The TRX owner was driving down a washboard trail. Replacing only the bottom...

    Aggressive Stance

My garage door is a lowly 7' tall and I park in the garage every day without any issues at all. In Florida, we also have additional hurricane bracing on our garage doors that hang down into the opening if the door doesn't go high enough when opened, and I still have no issues. I have the 5100s...

Mysterious clunk and squeak in my 5th gen ram

Did you replace only the lower body mounts? Or, did you replace the entire body mount, including the top?

What did you do to your Ram today???

I used Avalon King ceramic coating 3 years ago and it lasted about 6 months. I need to do more on the paint correction as I noticed clay bar marring in the finish that my compound/polish didn't address. So I need new chemicals and will be doing this again. Then I "might" use Cquartz if I...

    TRX Takeoffs on 275/65R18

Thanks for clarifying that, firemedic. I only responded to the fact that the tires will fit the rims, but didn't elaborate on the rest. As mentioned, I'm running stock tires on TRX wheels, but I also have 1.5" spacers and the Bilstein 5100 level.
