Since 2020, why get a 19. The 21's have better towing options and gimmicks, and the MFT tailgate. If U can swing it, get a 21. But if just $$$$ aspect, other than the 3rd Brake light/possible rear window leaks/poor AC performance,. great truck. I enjoy MY 19. CAVEAT: The leaks and poor AC...
Many moons ago, while in a Humvee, as a Squad Leader, sitting on an autobahn in GE, we had that fuel issue. SO I had over 20 "Jerry" cans in a 3/4 ton trailer plus equipment, because we neva knew when we would be near a Kaserne ref fuel..... Good thing the GP's never knew, they would of had a...
14,680 on a MY 19, Bought August 2018. Spends a lot of time parked in front of residence. Except for the poor AC performance, definitely purchase again. Truck fine and suits my needs.
RAM (FCA) puts some fuel in all their vehicles ref delivery. U know moving in a lot, loading onto a truck, train transport. U would think they would not charge list, but alas, even on MY 19 Hemi, they listed it as: 5 Additional Gallons of Gas, gotta luv it
U got lucky, most of the E torque's have the 23 Gal tank, U got 26, outstanding. MY 19 Bighorn had a 23 Gallon standard, but I bought off the lot and it was a level 2 non etorque, so had 26 gallon. U really neva know with FCA, they change up so much stuff all the time, kinda like luck of the...
I researched it, not a cheap option to do, but it is doable. I thought of going from 26 - 33, since a lot of parts interchangeable, but then thought, WTH, I am on the other side of 50 YOA plus, I can just stop, and save myself some $$$$$$, and my truck stays parked 98.5% ne way, so for me it...
TOWING: I have 3:21, OK, pull a stock trailer, 2150 lbs, loaded with hay, comes out to 6000-7000 lbs. Now I only go local, and do not have a WDH, but I see almost 13 mpg when towing. But remember, Hemi's torque range a lot higher, closer to 4,000 rpm, vs sometimes 2,000 rpm on a Diesel, so...
Understand, heck there is always the option to put a 40-60 gravity fed tank in the bed, LOL, I know a few Diesel PPL that do it, but that would be more of a business thang.
I have found a sincere truism on owning a truck: Whether this Hemi, my since traded in ED, My Wife's F150 5.4L Triton (Now in WI), wateva, U buy it, U gotta feed it, unless U R into hitch hiking, LMAO....
I took a trip to NJ and back the 1st week I owned MY 19. I found on Highway with cruise on, got 20-22 mpg. With the 26 gallon tank, had to stop every 4-5 hours, but on a trip, U gotta stop ne way. Coffee, fuel, potty breaks, U know, all the necessary things. LOL.....
MY 19, with heavier Falken tires, gets 13-19 City, 17-22 Highway, so works for me, but WTH, it is a Hemi, LOL.....:ROFLMAO:
ADDED: I am sometimes amused (maybe too easily), PPL that go on Forums and Biotch about MPG. U buy a Hemi, a Big Chevy 6.2L, the new old Hard Block Ford 7.3 they R...
They R doing the 23 gallon tanks for the E-Torque's, and most of the straight Hemi's have 26 gallon tanks, why, who knows. Unless U order specifically to get a bigger tank. I wish I had a 33 on MY 19, but got the upgraded 26 gallon, but the fuel gauges are silly ne way and are not set up to...
ECO light is not indicative to MDS On/Off, just means U R driving economically.
BTW, glad U enjoy yer truck, drive it like U own it and maintain it and U should be very happy. My ONLY complaint is AC, but there are workarounds. Did U get the MFT tailgate and did it have the step???
WHAT I do, if I want the truck to keep running, like AC on when real hot. When I get to location, I shut off, lock truck. I have dual climate set to Auto. I then remote start and go into store, but not too far from truck that I lose sight. Truck not gonna go ne where. But alas, U know how...
