The parts list exceeds the cost of buying a used set and requires just as much work. Unless you're a fan of wasting time and money I'd suggest swapping covers and cushions should you desire. I recouped all but about 200 bucks selling my old stuff after the swap. I also gained wireless charging...
Pricy, but to yes you could, technically. When I checked the dealership would only sell the seats part by part, amounting to nearly 3 grand per seat. Better to find some from a wreck. Hope this answers the DM as well, sir, wanted it publicly mentioned for others who searched like you.
As mentioned earlier, ensure you set your seat material type. You can have every other setting active but until that's changed it will not turn on. Ask me how I know.......
No significant trailer hauling. I ran around with about 1000lbs of gravel in the bed for a week recently due to some rain. Adjusted the rear to 7 and it rode like stock. Well composed and not wallowy.
I can't compare to the fox. I've heard good things about them as well.
My only complaint so...
I'll search for the back seat thread at some point. It was just for installing reclining, not the heat.
The heat will require a harness if you don't have one hiding under there, some people have found one. Due to the voltage it'd be a decent sized one at that. I think it's doable, I just never...
So the rear seat you picked up is reclining? That does complicate things, but has been done. I also skipped the rear swap with a limited set due to the additional complications and lack of a rear harness being native on my truck. I've seen others that had the harness back there on Laramie trims...
You'll be good. Nothing tricky. Only weird setting in alfa is seat material type. Change that to 6 or 7 for ventilation to work.
The physical buttons do require a different harness from memory. I had the 12" so didn't need it, nor will you if you're good with using uconnect.
Not many of us with Icon here. When I had mine rebuilt I opted for the old preload since I wanted 1 inch total. I also did the cdc remote option front and rear. I've been very happy. I adjust the rear for loads, everything for long high trips, and have had a chance to play with them setting 1 to...
I've added one to a 2020, can't comment on the impact of uc5 on the process. Never once have I used it, just came with a seat set I bought when doing the vented seat upgrade.
It was plug and play, mostly. A couple alfaobd tweaks were needed.
Iron from transport gets blasted into the clear pretty often. If it's not removed with an iron remover it'll do that. My white truck had it all over(not that bad). I hit it with remover then clay bared it and no issues since.
If it's not bubbling I'd say that's what it is.
Edit, what he said.
Yep. Came with a primer pen and hasn't peeled at all. Mine is stuck to a linex premium spray in, the glossy one, without any issue. I have it stuck down on both sides to avoid it flipping back when I slide junk in.
