I don't have to worry about that (not that she would do it)... Mine moved back in (a few years ago) and now driving my Tahoe, credit cards, etc.....just wish she would stop watching QVC and HSN all day long (yep, she doesn't work either, which is no big deal). Always something at door from them.
I agree, we spend enough on these trucks and most of us didn't buy these trucks for the fuel mileage or the type of fuel they use. If that was the case, I would've gotten a 'Prius" (NO!!!). Besides, this is a weekend truck/toy for me since the govt gives me a take home car. Got the truck...
Been using 87 for the first 2000 miles (it's what the dealer put in anyway) and seems to run fine under normal driving but slight hesitation during WOT (i.e. passing). Changed to higher octane and seems to run a little smoother during WOT. Still gets crappy gas mileage on the Rebel but seems...
Here'e mine with painted red calipers. One with before and after Running Boards installed. I have black painted calipers on my wife's black Tahoe. It's more subdued and doesn't pop like the red, so I went with the red on the Rebel. Red on my daughter's Cherokee Trailhawk too (matches the red...
I just pushed the nut in and started turning while applying some pressure. Eventually it bites and start to thread. I had one which required a little more pressure but got it in. I guess you can also use a knife or something similar to scrape off the excess at the tip to where the nut will...
Calipers are painted with G2 Caliper paint (Tire Rack has the best price at $43). They are very durable (compared to Duplicolor caliper paint that start to chip after a year). I painted the calipers on my other vehicles and they are still holding after 5-6 + years (no chips, etc). Lockbox is...
G2 Caliper paint. All 4 wheels off, vehicle on jack stands or lift, and paint. No need to take calipers off. Fairly easy. It's just time consuming, especially the prepping. G2 Paint cheapest at Tire Rack for $43. Once the paint and activator are mixed, you have about a good 3-4 hours...
Thanks. I looked at other running boards and went with these with the bed liner coating. I'm glad I did. They are fairly heavy and solid. They were back-ordered so it took about a month before I got them after ordering. Easy install (just crawled under and installed...only need two size...
I went with the Go Rhino RB20. Easy Install and looks great. It's also quite wide, which I do like (less likely to get door dings from those parking lot idiots, especially car owners). I got it with the bed liner coating (cost a little more but I think well worth it).
Had my 2019 Rebel for about a month and a half now and about 650 miles. Mods so far - black front grille RAM letters, black out skid plates, red painted brake calipers, Line-X premium spray bed liner, ExTang Encore Tonno cover, 35% Ceramic window tint (front sides only), K&N drop in air filter...
I don't mind tinting certain things. Headlights and Tail lights are not one of them. Just preference. Besides, since they are illegal in VA, gives the Police reasons for a stop (don't need the headache). I try to keep them close to legal as possible. A friend of mine (who has a new 2019 Ram...
Everyone seems to be back ordered. Found on eBay for $300 with free shipping (Just Search for Mopar 82215289AF and there's only one vendor that has a few left now...it's the new version as I confirmed it with the seller) By the time you pay for shipping at the other sites, it's pretty much the...

Just want to find out what fuel grade people are using.
I have the 2019 Rebel with the 5.7 Hemi (no e-Torque) and the manual recommends the 89 octane but 87 is acceptable.
Trying to figure out if I should use the recommended 89 octane or the 87.
What is everyone else using?
Thanks.
Day 4 of ownership. Blacked out the front end (RAM grille letters and front skid plate). Ordered running board, caliper paint, Extang Encore Tonno hard tri-fold bed cover, and a few other stuff. Scheduled for line-x spray bed liner next week. More to come...
