Which exhaust system did you go with? Carven possibly? If one of the original kits, fitment was an issue with them. The tips repeatedly come out of alignment even after you've tightened everything down.
The method of lift is not the issue. The issue is the amount of lift without doing a differential and lower control arm drop. The cv angles will be less than stellar and the cv joints will be more likely to break because of it. Many people have different view but in my mind anything over a...
Sweet. I'm still waiting to hear back from them regarding people who bought the original kit. I had it preordered and may have been the first to have the original kit on a truck. Unfortunately no matter what I do it doesn't stay lined up. They said they would be dropping a video with information...
The brakes are the same as far as I’m aware. They do have different spindles as the center hub is slightly larger. That still has no effect on the struts where the kit is installed. That being said, the 3.5” kit does leave some questionable suspension angles and I’ll be going with the BDS 4” kit...
20x10 -24 still looks plenty aggressive. I’m running -25 on 305/55s with Bushwackers. I will likely be going with the 4” BDS with off-road package front springs in the near future and switch to 35s.
Any 20x12 is going to rub. People are reporting rub on 20x10s with -18 offset and 35s with a 6” lift. Some minor trimming usually cleans it up. 20x12s will likely rub pretty bad though.
It will be very noticeable for anybody sitting in the rear. In the driver seat I can’t tell a difference. Any time I have somebody in the back they comment on it, even the wife and kids.
Be sure to post some pics after the install. I am considering the BDS 4" but I don't want the rake that appears to come with it. The BDS kit looks like it raises the front 4" and the rear 3".
Looks good. How much rake is left with the BDS kit? It lifts 3" in the rear and 4" in the front correct? Looking at going this route and then adding ORP springs in the front to help level it, but haven't seen enough people with it yet.
You don't HAVE to bypass the ANC but it may be beneficial. Many members report a droning sound after upgrading speakers. Bypassing the ANC does away with that. There is a ANC bypass cable you can buy online for about $30 that way you aren't clipping any factory wiring. You unplug the cable from...
There are a few possibilities.
- The nut on top of the strut assembly is not tight
- The sway bar/end links were not tightened back up
- There is a tsb for the front body mounts and one of the symptoms of the issue is a clunking sound particularly on the front driver side
I would start by...
That will have minimal change in ride quality. The ride quality changed more because of the preload spacer in the front. If you put new tires on it that would have stiffened the ride up as well.
So essentially the DT trucks use a strut that sits 2" higher. There was also a thread a while back where somebody compared the factory DS, DT, and DS Bilsteins and came close to the same conclusion. This also means you could use a 6" coilover from the DS trucks to get a 4" lift on the DT. Could...
Is BDS still the only one out with a true 4" lift kit? I remember Fabtech teasing one a while back and people commenting that Superlift had one on the way. I don't want the 3.5" kits as the ride quality will quickly go away and I don't want to have to worry about the angles.
I used the speaker pop app for iphone/ipad, and another for android that I can't remember the name of. Many other owners here have confirmed the same findings with the Alpine system.
