My 2 year experiment is over. RAM is dead to me. Going to FORD

Don't reckon Dodge would want to fix a truck they didn't build.

    Exploding panoramic sunroof

Happened to me over a decade ago while driving a 2005 Honda Accord. Scared the bejeebus out of me.

    A/C Performance

Just unfortunate that Ram allowed the AC in the 5th gen to be worse than the 4th. Wonder why that was ok with them...

    Air conditioning Hack

I sure hope Ram doesn't consider relaying requested information during a customer service interaction a good deed. That attitude would only serve to erode their recent successes. Nah, they couldn't be that clueless.

    Air conditioning Hack

Don't think it's top secret. He says he's about to share it publicly. It's a good thing.

    Air conditioning Hack

@RamCares just advised me via private message that Ram will be releasing something in Q4 of 2020 to address this issue. They should be announcing it shortly. Fingers crossed...

My '21 Limited and what's new...

Was your dealer positive about them adding it mid-year to the 2021s or do you think it will be the 2022 upgrade?

    Disappointing about UConnect 5.

    AC issues fixed for 2020???

58° out of the vent is terrible compared to most vehicles on the road! Further proof that most stating they got a good AC are simply satisfied with higher temperatures.

Thinking about switching from a Tacoma... Advice?

Makes perfect sense. I wish the non-hacked temps were adequate for me.

Thinking about switching from a Tacoma... Advice?

Yep, back on topic. Everything in the Ram should be superior to the Toyota - minus the AC, longevity, and reliability.

Thinking about switching from a Tacoma... Advice?

Don't recall your photos, but do recall you being satisfied with an average driver side temp of 51. Every vehicle I've ever owned blows that out of the water. I'd encourage the OP to bring a thermometer to the dealership for a test drive on a100° day.

Thinking about switching from a Tacoma... Advice?

Don't take this the wrong way, but your statement doesn't mean much. The last guy in one of the AC threads that said his AC was fine, finally posted his vent temp. It was almost 60 degrees. Have you taken your vent temp yet?

Thinking about switching from a Tacoma... Advice?

Ram will likely be superior in every way except the AC. Although a Tacoma would probably last a million miles, not sure Ram could match that.

    Air conditioning performance

Almost 60 is terrible! I chuckle when someone takes the "it's within Ram spec" approach. Well of course it is, Ram set the spec. Set the bar low and you're sure to clear it. The fact remains that most other auto makers blow Ram's "spec" out of the water (or vents in this case). I expect Ram's...

    Air conditioning performance

Of course it's not OEM spec. But you hit the nail on the head. Annoying, to say the least, that Ram can't hit it when all my others can.

    Air conditioning performance

Most analog car vent thermometers have a green target range. Ram can't hit it. All my other vehicles can.

    Air conditioning performance

What's also fairly normal is every vehicle I've tested gets temperatures in the green. Every. Single. One. Well, every single one except Ram. My expectation is Ram should have an AC to match all other vehicles on the road. Unfortunately, Ram does not. And it's such a simple fix. I don't...

    Air conditioning performance

Not in the green on an analog thermometer. Unacceptable for a new car these days. Also a good example of why it drives some of us crazy when members say their AC is fine, but refuse to post temperature pics.
