Ouch! Hard hit! You wouldn't have wanted it back rebuilt with a "branded" title (salvage or rebuilt, etc) that would heavily affect resale value. Get a brand new truck and get the 33 gallon fuel tank if you can.
For those concerned about if flow restriction could damage engine cooling, there are at least 3 Youtube videos showing water pump replacement on earlier years Ram trucks with 5.7 Hemi engine. The videos let you see that the black metal tube that "out" heater hose is connected to comes from a...
According to KcRay, he says there is another hose that provides coolant flow to engine in parallel. If you are concerned, you could add a crossover hose (with two "T's") with valve in it as well as a valve in "out" hose after crossover so it still allows flow from "out" hose to "in" hose but...
Yes that is true, BUT our experimenting shows AC freon system is working fine for most cases. The cold air is getting heated back up by the hot heater core, possibly a "blend door" that isn't closing all the way to block heat. To prove it, get a probe thermometer (like you check cooking meat...
lol....Not that I am aware of. He did say in a private message he would pass our findings on to Ram engineers after I asked him to. Hopefully, they are waking up to the fact that the consumers on "Fifth Gen Ram" now know reason that AC vent temps are too warm. They can evacuate and recharge...
I am sure many vehicles (I'm sure yours is different some from 5th gen) from many manufacturers can gain cooler AC by shutting off heater core. Just verify that engine has other coolant passage so it doesn't affect it for proper cooling. If so, can always put in "H" cross hose with valves to...
The perimeter bolts really make it pop and looks larger than an 18". Nice look!!! 18"x9" +1mm offset is what my Fuel wheels are also. Lines up perfect with factory installed running board and tread lines up with flares. A small amount of sidewall beyond flares but minimal mud slinging onto...
I agree! Everybody has the color truck that "floats their boat!" My last Ram was charcoal gray and previous Ford was black. Both were gorgeous trucks. Wanted to do a different color and flame red is the color that makes the Rebel pop. People tend to notice it when on road.
Its closest available size is 3/4" because it is meant for Pex hose and special clamp system and not 5/8" barb that would be a proper fit for 5/8 hose. Another member verified 3/4" Pex works perfect with 5/8" heater hose.
Instant gratification!!!! Why let the dealer "store" your truck for days and not improve cooling when you can solve it in minutes? Nice job! :ROFLMAO:(y)
In reading reviews about these "four season" and similar looking coolant shutoff valves, they apparently have a history of leaking from the adjuster screw....some are from china, others better made from USA. I am considering putting in a real brass/stainless ball valve from Grainger or other...
My understanding is that the steps hit bigger Magnaflow exhaust tip as deployed/put away but does go by with a scrape on the way by. So what is reason for redesign? Holds more weight, more solid to step on, etc? Does "new design mechanism" get closer to exhaust tips than original design...
Give us some contact info, website, pricing, shipping, etc. Will this new design step clear my Magnaflow cat back exhaust? The tips are 5" and at least twice as long as OEM tips that are 4" diameter and taper down quickly. Thanks!!!
