I have a Magnaflow cat back exhaust with 5" diameter tips that stay large diameter longer than stock on my Rebel. Does the Mopar step look like it will clear a larger tip like mine throughout its movement range? Is yours the newer Mopar redesigned unit? Who has best price? Thanks!
My last 2004 Ram was charcoal gray and the one before that was a 97 black Ford, both gorgeous trucks. I decided if the Rebel has a bold deep red accent interior, than what better than a bold flame red/ black exterior. I think interior goes really well with the bold outside color. No regrets...
Too bad we have to do a "mad scientist" approach to get cold air. At least we don't have to plumb in a wood stove for heat in winter in a $50-$60k vehicle.....lol
I understand and making something that can be removed without a trace is of utmost importance. But.......If you want us to not apply OUR fixes, the push is for a proper fix as this has gone on for 17 months now and summer is ramping up rapidly in portions of country. Engineers had all winter...
Here is my idea for a bypass of heater core that gives you complete control and won't affect pressures or flow rate. If you decide to try it, you do at your own risk. At least it will get us relief through the summer until absolute solution with proven results is created by Ram engineers. Do...
Here is my idea for a total/partial bypass that will get us through the summer until a proper resolution comes from Ram. This design will allow full flow rate and not increase pressures yet gives complete control. All parts available on Amazon or even Home Depot or Lowes. Pex parts wouldn't be...
Here is another way to totally bypass without causing any pressure or flow changes. At your own risk if you decide to do it. Do not cut your factory heater hoses. That way you can revert to total stock at any time.
This is what I was afraid of....even though they have vin numbers issue corrected on recall , the problem with uneven and excessively high vent temps for cooling is not being resolved as it is a blend door problem. My truck was built 07/08/18 so it is in range. Until I see others getting real...
Sorry guys....didnt realize it is so different for mobile users. I will shorten signature and cool down font size. I just felt we had some great discoveries about how to get colder AC until Ram engineers come up with proper fix.
I agree totally. Maybe shut flow down by 50% or so as cool mornings you will still need heat in cab. Also, heat will be present to reduce chance of ice in humid situations but not so much to heat up chilled air from evaporator on way to vents.
Maybe door is stiff from manufacturing and cycling it to extreme limits free's up its motion so it goes where it should??? Maybe measure and document the two center vents temperatures as well as ambient temp while on full cooling. Then cycle from full heat to full cold like 20 times and then...
I just figured out what was going on. I had my computer in "dark" mode so I saw letters over a white background. They looked easy to read to me. Crazy.....thanks I fixed a bunch of posts
I just figured out what you are talking about. I had my setting in "dark" mode that makes background white behind letters. When I switched mode in right end of toolbar my posts looked like you describe. How strange. I fixed it. Thanks!
You may want to check out KcRay procedure in beginning of page 1 of thread "air conditioning Hack" using one valve and my plan is listed on page 7 of same thread using 2 valves for total ability to bypass heater core without adding any back pressure.
