Currently towing a Jayco Jayflight SLX8 267BHS with my 2020 Rebel. It’s doing great. The best way, and really only true way to set up your WDH properly is to load everything up and hit a CAT scale. It’s a pretty crucial step to really getting weight properly distributed back to the steer axle on...
Something weird is going on then. Like, a manufacturing defect or change has taken place. No, I haven’t tried another model number. No matter what site I look at, including AVS’s main site, it says that’s the correct model number. I actually just got the return sent out today. I guess I’ll just...
So, I just had one of these delivered today, and it doesn’t fit on the ends at all. Like, the one I got is tapered up on the ends. Doesn’t look like yours. I ordered it from Real Truck. Item # AVS-698173. For a 2019-2021 with sunroof. I actually just submitted a return request. It’s unusable for...
@VernDiesel Here’s a question then, regarding that...I am currently 160lbs under stock weight on the steer axle...if I go up a position on my WDH and I wind up a little over stock drive axle weight, is that a more desirable place to be? Axle rating is 3900.
@VernDiesel How’s this looking to you? No trailer with full tank of gas, and then with trailer and WDH engaged. I THINK, per your math in previous posts, I am right around 12%? I included my math. Haha.
If you scroll back through this thread, I post how to unhook the connector as a temporary fix until you can get it back to the dealer. That’ll at least stop it from opening on it’s own.
Got my safe and got it installed. Went in nice, but I will say that I wish the self tapping screws were going into metal, instead of plastic. You can easily strip them into the plastic if you don’t stop screwing. I suppose it’ll stay put, but that’s the only aspect that feels less than 100% awesome.
To keep it from happening in the mean time, you can just unplug the harness under the inside cover. Go look at post #80 in this thread. Just unplug that white plug that’s pictured there. That’ll stop it until they can fix it.
