I'm really impressed with these new ceramic waxes and sprays, I've gone all in with the turtle wax line and have gotten rid of all my old standbys of compounds and waxes.
Just waiting for the weather to improve here in MN, 31* this morning, light snow lastnight, I'm sick of this crap.
That would take some getting used too. On an aside I must have gave fwd lock a push the other day shifting into D, noticed strange steering at my first turn.
My experience, the more you mess with things the more trouble you have. Motor and suspension mods, no way, I keep them stock. Like the OP, I do simple and basic items.
Somewhere in the linked threads above, someone also installed these. Very low profile and I figured I'd give them a try. Ordered through aliebaba or some such, took 6 weeks but things are a mess in China right now. They come with double sided tape, and I drilled 2 small holes each side to zip...
I went with ARE V-series, very basic topper. Fit and finish is excellent. $1900/installed. I also added a power port, 12v and USB, switch runs the topper lights. I'm really happy with it!

Does anyone know what the factory batteries are rated at?
Yesterday, I was in my truck with the radio on for a total of 60 min. Got in at the end of the day and battery cranked the motor a few turns then stopped, had to use my jump pack to get it started.
I use 89, that's what Ram recommends and because of youtube. There is a guy on 'tube that has a detailed scanner/computer thing that showed when his 5.7 was retarding knock. 87 showed to do it a lot, 89 some, not sure if he did 93. There was a link in this forum, search and maybe you'll find it...
I was going your same route until I stumbled upon these latest products. Turtle Wax.
Really some amazing stuff, pick your favorite manufacturer, they all have a ceramic line. Very user friendly.
Finally got around to putting some power in the back of my truck today. Found this set up on Ebay, didn't need the USB ports but it was part of the package and may prove useful. I'll clean up the wiring in time.
I guess we all have different expectations and experiences. For me, I love the system. I now hear things in songs I've never heard before. I'm not a fan of loud music, for those that are I guess the system weaknesses show more?
