Following. I have the stock 20" Laramie rims and looking for the tallest profile tires these rims will support. Mine are currently 275/55R20 which I believe make them 31" tires. They just look too small, and with the Bridgestones, it's like I'm I've got a truck riding on top of a sedan. I...
Just did mine last weekend, so time will tell............. the first two tires were a disaster. I was holding the cans too far away and wasn't wetting it enough. I ended up with a tremendous amount of texture. I had to remove the dip on those two tires and start over from scratch which cost me...
For me, it's mostly noticeable at speeds above 50mph. Most of the low speed vibrations have gone away since lowering my psi from 44 to 36 on my stock Duelers.
Didn't try it today, but in some other tests, I've tried that and removing my foot off the accelerator and coasting didn't change anything. I've even put the truck in Neutral, and still, the vibrations continued. So does that help narrow things down at all?
I recall someone using J-B Weld to plug the weep holes to see if that helped give it a little more growl without the drone yet still allowed to drill back out if they didn't like it. Anyone actually do that, and if so, what's your opinion on doing that?
And is it also possible that the road surface and/or how cold/warm the truck is could affect anything? For example, we went out this afternoon after the truck hadn't been driven since the night before. It was taken on a parkway doing 65 mph and the vibration became so bad it was almost...
Yeah, don't know why the dealerships inflate the stock 20's to 44psi when it says 36psi right on the door jamb. I've brough the truck in several times now and each time, they jack up the psi and I have to bring the pressure back down. And let me tell y ou, there is a HUGE difference in road...
How long has it been since you installed it, when did it start happening, and when does it happen? Every time you go over something, when you turn, etc.?
Boy, that was a nice ride!! Fortunately, my daughter is 26 and it's not her 1st car. Her first car was a used Hyundai Elantra. I too would never have let her drive a HEMI as her first car. But she lives close by (my basement!!!) and I get to drive it from time to time still so it's been a...
My daughter bought my 2017 Charger R/T from me and I still get to drive it once in a while
But I tell you what, once I got the Hellwig swaybar, the Flowmaster Outlaw, and the Pedal Commander installed, I'm not missing the Charger much these days!!
Wait...... What?........... The camera activation on turn signal is only available on the 8.4" screen? Not the 12.1" screen? Where does it say that?
Here is the list of things I would utilize at the outset, which is why I'm on the fence about the cost/benefit as well:
1. Disable Travel Link...
Just tonight, I've decided to throw in the towel of monitoring my mpg on a minute by minute basis. I removed the mpg indicators from my dashboard display. I will simply drive the way I want and then with each fill-up, I will use Fuelly to calculate my average from tank to tank and overall from...
I did. I failed to mention that the first two tires were a disaster. I was holding the cans too far away and wasn't wetting it enough. I ended up with a tremendous amount of texture. I had to remove the dip on those two tires and start over from scratch which cost me a lot of labor and...
Biggest project time-wise was plasti-dipping my stock Laramie 20" wheels black. I hat the stock rims, but they look better black at least until I can afford a new set of wheels. I also installed a Hellwig Sway Bar, and a Pedal Commander. Finished the weekend off with a few trim items. Gotta...
