Not sure on the relationship between the account and the updates. Honestly you shouldn't have left the dealer without the account being set up (it's on them, not you). The account setup is part of the prep for post sale, I'm pretty sure.
There should be Seven tray icons by default at the bottom...
Welcome to the forums and congrats on the truck!
Air bags mask problems, they don't solve them.
Also, adding air bags to a truck without re-setting up the WDH, causes a reduction in distribution of weight to the front axle.
Did you get a DT or a DS (Classic) 2019? Your GVWR and GCVWR numbers...
Very early builds had an issue where the back up camera would display full screen, and also, trucks that were not prepped would display it this way as well. It's not supposed to be full screen, and if it is, you have a problem.
If you crack a window in the truck, the Active Noise Cancellation is no longer active. Members on here have been unplugging the microphones to the ANC system in order to disable it.
Take off the tin foil hat. Cmon now, if any manufacturer got caught purposefully falsifying performance data, and selling underperforming vehicles to customers, they'd be in for a world of hurt. Not saying it doesn't happen (Cough, any diesel ever after VW ****ed up, cough), but honestly it's a...
You may have better luck in the 4th gen side of the forums, or in the HDRams.com forum, as this section of the 5th gen forums pertains to the DT half ton trucks.
Have you reached out to Vararam for support on this? They might have a solution for you, or at the very least, give you some money back on a poorly engineered product...
I used to have the old front sway bar from my Tundra lying around, I think I tossed it, but I'll look just in case so I can try hacking it up. You have me thinking on it, and it's something I'm pretty sure I could do.
How hard can it be?
(Famous last words)
Short of fabbing up a kit with a sliding splined collar, there is no other way to get disconnecting sway bars on a vehicle that did not come with it as an option.
You just gave me a great business plan though, lol
Hmmmm, lol
Take off the tin foil hat for a sec and hear me out, lol. The only thing it "protects" the manufacturer from is the pitchfork mentality that erupts in every single one of these threads about the A/C. The test specs are part of the service manual, which was written long before anyone...
Front or rear? I would imagine the rear would be easy to just unbolt the links and zip tie the bar in place on the axle. The front is tougher because the sway bar itself would actually interfere with suspension travel even when disconnected from the links. It would need to be removed, or tied...
Exactly. The online shopping sites don't have the proper sales code breakdowns to tell you what means what, so there's really no way to determine if the 28 dollar glass is what you need, or the 128 dollar glass. The parts dept will know. You can always ask for the part number and cross shop if...
I hated the look at first. Thought they were in for a world of hurt sales wise...
Then I started liking it in certain trims...
Then I bought one
There are some unflattering angles I think, but overall, I think they look sharp.
Without seeing the outside of the truck, I would have...
This is where I have the problem, and it's contingent on whether or not you actually ran the test. Comparing it to "other vehicles" is just not an argument that makes sense to me. And it certainly won't get a service department to take anyone seriously.
There's been too many reports of low...
But that's the other half of the problem that I've repeatedly mentioned in these threads. The "adequacy" of the systems performance is subjective, unless you're testing it to FCA's specifications exactly. If your truck meets those performance targets, yet YOU still don't think the system is...
Welcome to the forums! The DT trucks can be had with three different types of rear differential, and one type of front differential. It has been covered multiple times on this forum. Cruise around and you'll find tons of available info on how these trucks can be configured, and how to tell what...
Any leads on removing the torque management from an otherwise stock truck? Is that in the custom tune category or do we have canned tunes that get this kind of thing done already? I looked around but didn't see a list of what a tune contains for mods.
