I think they changed (lowered) the power threshold where MDS kicks on/off. At 77 mph, mine will only kick in if I'm drafting behind a big rig, decelerating, or going downhill.
I checked my flange bolts and everything seems tight. I tugged on each bolt and none would budge. I doubt I was pulling at 90 ft-lb since I was on my back.
Something changed if the tire calibration remains after removal! Their literature states "virtually no trace"...which means almost no trace. There's a little wiggle room in that language.
All the speedo recalibrate tools work that way. They write to the ECU which is retentative. If your dealer ever flashed an update to your ECU, it'll overwrite the calibration. The Tazer DT works the same way but it is "married" to your ECU and won't work on other vehicled without "unmarrying" it...
Yes. Rolling on the throttle after deceleration at slow speeds reproduces the "bump" every time. As soon as someone gets this fixed, I'd like to know exactly what was found and how it was fixed.
I agree but that's how TC works. It's similar to ABS pulsing during a hard stop. It makes some racket. I suspect the sound is worse because the wheel is off the ground and isn't dampened by the trucks weight so it resonates through the truck bed.
I do wish Ram would adopt Jeep's TC strategy...
Apparently there is a good way and bad way to ground the Pulsar if this is indeed the problem. I've been lucky so far. My ground strap is under the upper back screw between the Pulsar and ECU. I make sure the Pulsar is pulled down tight on the eyelet by twisting the eyelet to check for movement...
If you aren't the type to be irritated by things not working perfectly, get the Tazer DT. The "Vehicle Settings" which work with the Tazer DT installed or removed, all work 100%...just have to remove the Pulsar so you can see the menus to configure it. There are no menus for "Vehicle Settings"...
The surging with MDS is how it works. It doesn't disable MDS but surges the throttle to disengage MDS each time it kicks in. I wish they would just be honest about it. THERE IS NO WAY TO DISABLE MDS ON THE STOCK ECU.
Anyone adding a tuner to their truck should own a code reader....or remain...
I recommend getting an inexpensive code reader. I use a Bluetooth to OBDII adapter and the Torque app for Android on my phone. Total cost is $20. Other options are available for iOS which requires WiFi.

I'm running both. You have to set your options with the Pulser uninstalled since they both use the Cruise keys and Audio screen to display messages/menus.
Once set, the Tazer DT vehicle Settings work fine, as does the Pulsar. The fact that both units write messages to the Audio screen...
The rotors on the Ram are large. Light use can cause issues. This has been discussed here. I "bedded" my brakes the first week I drove the truck to avoid issues. Basically performed numerous hard stops back to back to heat up the rotors and mate the surfaces. I've had no issues.
Traction control uses the brakes to apply resistance to the spinning wheel which transfers torque to the other wheel with traction. 4-Hi transfers torque to the front wheels. Your truck isn't as handicapped as an old school open differential.
Here's a video of a 2019 Ram open differential with...
