If someone was told it was the torque converter locking/unlocking and that's how it worked, they'd be perfectly fine with it. Personally, if the truck would run on 1 cylinder without distracting me, I could care less. It doesn't affect overall performance or drivability. It's the idea and sound...
I believe I read where some people here used a thin adhesive backed felt pad to fill the window track. They cut a small piece and wedged it into the track to tighten the fit. I've done this on other vehicles to fix rattles. You can use a disposable razor to "shave" the felt thickness to fit and...
Maybe I use big words or speak funny but Uconnect doesn't understand me. Google Assistant works great on my phone. Different users have different experiences. Glad yours worked.
If you can't get yours to go into ECO by the method I described or whatever you did in that demo truck, I'd be visiting the dealer. Funny thing is that some on here would kill to get rid of MDS/ECO altogether.
Try driving with a lighter foot on the gas on a flat road at 50mph (?? Kmh). Once you are up to speed ease off the gas slightly for a second, you should see it. It takes a steady foot and light throttle to stay in ECO mode. The idea is that the truck teaches you to drive more economically. If...
Bluetooth is too slow to be used with Apple Carplay/Android Auto. As poor as the Voice integration is from Auto manufacturers vs Siri or Google Voice Assistant, they have a long way to go before I'm ready to dictate an email or text through them. I much prefer the Android Auto interface for such...
Not confused at all. I knew the truck has a Dana transfer case. Says so in the sales literature. Another poster said he thought that it had a center diff. I read up to confirm. Another poster claims it's ok to run in 4-High all the time. I can't see how.
Not all rear drive 4WD vehicles lack a...
I've noticed what @SpeedyV said. Adaptive Cruise will apply braking on approach to slower vehicles. Setting the Adaptive distance to max helps. One must change lanes much earlier to avoid this. Also, Adaptive Cruise will speed up more aggressively which is another waste of fuel.
The truth be...
Cruise Control keeps MDS (ECO Light) off most of the time because it is constantly adjusting the throttle. ECO won't engage until it sees a light load for around 1 second. Doubt me? Try this: drive 50 on flat ground then back off the throttle just a bit for a second...viola, ECO every time...
Just read up. Our trucks don't have a center diff and should only be used in 2WD or 4-Auto on dry pavement to prevent premature wear or damage. In keeping with this thread's subject, fuel mileage suffers also.:LOL::ROFLMAO:
Is there a center differential on 4WD trucks? My Jeep GC had one and was full time 4WD and had a low range as well. Totally different and way more sophisticated and capable than Ram's 4WD system. I wish Ram would offer Quadra-Drive II. I'd pay for that.
How does the truck handle the windup that occurs when from and rear axles are locked together? 4-Auto disengages the front axle to solve this problem. 4-High doesn't. Something has to be in a bind eventually in 4-high. Can't imagine that being good for the mechanism. The manual also says don't...
Not my measured experience. Maybe my mixed use is different than yours. My 3.92 cost me 2-3 mpg on the highway and is about the same as a 3.21 in town. Yes, it feels quicker, tows better...but not without a little trade off. The is no free lunch.
Same here. It's an awesome setup if you can Fab a bracket for the rear cam. I bent a 2" x 1/8" aluminum strip with pliers to make a mount. The sliding back glass prevents attachment to the window.
