If you plan on keeping the truck long term, I'd highly recommend the PPE pan. As for the change procedure, it would be the same regardless of what pan you decide to use, other than you will need to extra quarts of fluid with the PPE pan
Yeah, prices have definitely gone up. I'd be wary of the fit/finish of the knock off ones. Not saying they aren't good, as I have no experience with them specifically, but they are probably just a copy being pushed out of a factory with less quality control and bigger tolerances.
Unless you need to extreme cold weather properties of a 0w, there is no real benefit of running it. And the whole GM recall is due more to poor manufacturing quality, then the spec'd oil. Going to a heavier weight oil is a bandaid to the bigger issue, but the cheaper option for GM, as it costs...
Yeah, it sucks with the fill plug that close to exhaust. I put on my welding gloves when I did mine. They cover just enough of my forearm where I didn't get burnt

The funny part is, you feel it's perfectly fine to trash talk a...
No crying hear, you're the one getting worked up over it. I have had the Husky brand on my truck for almost 5 years now. Guess what is still on the truck? Yeah, all the paint. And I didn't even use the clear vinyl strips they come with.
Calling a product "garbage" because you personally...
Tires only have a "safe" 5 year life span. Anything more than that and it's just taking more risk. Most chain tire shops won't touch tires over 5 years old without replacing them
