I've been following your posts on this.
Please keep us updated and hopefully, you can give a final summary of parts and all that's needed for the coding. I know I would really appreciate it.
Thank you.
You could probably run some weather-stripping/molding around the vice facia if you wanted to. It may clean up the look for some. For those with painted bumpers, tape up the facia opening.
The fairlead mount touches the Vice filler plate since they are all bolted together using the fairlead bolts. The only way to create the proper support the fairlead requires.

That's how I did my sensors, but the plastic inserts, that the sensor goes into, just don't have a snug fit into your panel. Honestly, it's an easy fix with a bead of silicone.
I have my plugs both facing inwards to the middle of the bumper. I don't think it matters though; as long as you have...
The "fix" is to turn off the wireless switch. Smitty states multiple times to make sure have it "off" until you are actually winching. Flipping the switch is easier than attaching the cable.
I do wonder if the wireless module is paired with the controller. It would be seriously bad if the...
I'm sure there are some quick disconnects out there that will work with the truck. I might look into it later, but it hasn't crossed my mind until you just mentioned it
I left my Smitty box on the winch since it's waterproof. I've accessed it a few times now with no issue. The problem would be if your truck is stuck in a way that you can't access it from under the front of the truck. With the Smitty having a wireless controller it's less of an issue though.
Went out on some trails today in my local national forest to scout some out of the way camping sites. Winch provides a big safety net when you're alone out in the middle of no where. Did not see a single vehicle the 6 hours I was out there. It's always hard to tell how challenging some of these...
Nicely done! I'm thinking relocating the controller too. Maybe to inside the cab.....?
Let me know if you have any questions. You will also get a copy of the instructions in the box. The only update I saw was that the printed copy has higher TQ specs when compared to the online version...
