It is tricky. Some threads on this topic.
I didn’t take pics of the letters but they are held in by plastic tabs.
This is a pic of the grill without the letters. Most times the tabs break off during removal. But some guys have done it successfully. They are about $25 or so for the set.
I have the same noise at startup in your video. Its the split second grinding/crackling sound like when you shift gears without engaging the clutch.
I also have the ticking or actuators that are normal sounds.
Tried 4 times to record startup and zero noises LOL
Odd thing is my noise is so random. Happens on cold or warm starts but not all the time. My parking brake is always on.
Tried push button start this morning. No noise lol.
I like the contrast of black/white. Cool that you are experimenting with this.
You are also lucky to have the power folding mirrors since you can also get color matched or textured black OEM covers.
Is it vinyl rubbing on vinyl? Happened with the console lid on my front bench seat when I rest my elbow on it. I put some felt pads between the vinyl where it rubbed and it went away.
Rebels and trucks with off road package have larger air struts and compressors from what I was told by my parts guy when I asked if I could switch out mine. This may or may not make a difference.
Even loose suspension bolts make a difference. On my first service visit, my dealer retorqued all...
Realistically I think the only hope will be infotainment. But last time I checked their site, everything was sold out so even if they come out with something it seems like they only have limited runs.
