    Overheating the 4x4 system

Nothing yet. I'm just waiting on v2 of the switch to test. I suggest that if you're interested in this switch that you go and let them know. Not much demand for a 5th gen swtich right now. Ask them for it here: https://www.ramforum.com/threads/transfercase-diagram.55161/page-44#post-2212535

    Overheating the 4x4 system

I took out the muffler baffle on the car to make it sound more aggressive. It's pretty glorious now at 11,000rpm. This thing is running a Fox podium 2.5 crossover setup. The TRX would be lucky to get an equivalent suspension. I'm going to spend Friday on the highspeed trails dialing it in...

    5th Gen Hidden Winch

Agreed. I like to spool the line once a month. Just to keep the gears greased. This took care of that

    5th Gen Hidden Winch

I used the the winch today for the second time. This time it was to save myself....but not the truck.

    Overheating the 4x4 system

The money I was going to put towards a TRX/Power Wagon went to this instead. Scratches my track day/fast car itch. The best part is I registered it for street use. So basically a second car for me. My truck makes a cameo and the end of the video....

    Overheating the 4x4 system

I doubt there is an actual temperature probe for the TC. It probably just uses some sort of algorithm to estimate the temp. So putting synthetic in won't matter (if it doesn't already have it).

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Yeah, I ignorantly thought 4x4 meant 4x4. It should really be advertised as a really good AWD system. If they did that I might have put up with all the red in the Rebel interior lol. I would be in a new Power Wagon after all this, but now I'm waiting to see what the TRX is going to do. I will be...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

UPDATE: I tested the first 5th gen prototype of the bypass switch last weekend. Unfortunately, it did not work as expected. I believe it's just a matter of time before he figures it out.

    Rock sliders installed

Honestly, your best bet is to refer to these instructions: https://white-knuckleoffroad.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Dodge-RAM-1500-2019-Newer-Installation-Instructions.pdf I'm not sure I understand your other question....The backing plates did not come with the nuts welded to it. Though, I...

Off pavement travel/dispersed camping in Pennsylvania. Or anywhere

Facilities are shut down, but access and dispersed camping should still be viable, no? I never use their facilities.

I will say, this is my first cap so the issues I mentioned could be on par from other manufactures. I'm pretty picky about my products.

Off pavement travel/dispersed camping in Pennsylvania. Or anywhere

It seems a little unusual to shutdown dispersed camping. Do you have any national forests near? I think those still allow dispersed camping.

Short bed. I love the way it looks, but I am not too impressed with the quality of the fit and finish. I went the ARE because of the internal skeleton system option that I plan to use for racks/shelves. The weather seals and window framing seem really cheaply done. Paint has quite a few...

water crossing - is it smart and worth?

The rear diff breather is ran up pretty high to the underside of the bed, but the front diff and TC are only barely sticking out of the housings. I've yet to locate the one for the trans. If I'm off-roading locally, or with a group, I tend to take more risks knowing that I'm not too far from...
