When it starts to bother me enough, I'll see what I can do to make it work.
I spent about a 20 minutes of actual productive physical effort and another 45 minutes contemplating and cussing about how to get to the connectors so I could see what I was doing.
Then add however long it takes to hack...
My apps were still available this morning after I ripped out that black box. I have the most recent version and the same thought was in my mind too; did they install a local watchdog?
So far, it seems that they did not. My RAM app doesn't get updates now either, so that is another good sign...
My lowly big horn is the same in that display. We don't have any sensors or actuators to detect the position and disconnect/reconnect the sway bar.
Just ignore it and check your sway bar linkage bolts before and after you drive your truck.
It's likely you don't have the correct sensor.
The correct part is a rain/humidity sensor. You probably have just a humidity sensor.
Then enable the feature in the BCM with AlfaOBD and enable it in UC. It will work.
I followed the PDFs that are posted (they're in this thread - thank you @Cbty2050 ) to remove the glove boxes. That was the easy part.
I pushed the right-side air vent out from the back side to access the screw on the side of the upper glove box.
The worst part is getting the left bracket...
I removed the telematics box. I don't think it was meant to be easily removed. It was difficult accessing one of the bracket bolts towards the center of the dash. All of the connectors are opposite the work side, so you can't see them to unplug them. I found the grey one to be the most...
I have the bypass cable, so this is my next trick.
I'm done with the OTA updates after the last mess. My UC5 works well now and I see no benefits with additional, untested updates. And I'll be able to keep the special members-only pages too.
I finally got around to improving the bump-stop gap situation after gaining 2" of lift with the icon springs. I got the timbrens from a forum member and just got the 2" brackets a few days ago.
I've seen a few.
I don't have it.
It's like most everything else that you never knew you needed until you have it.
Then, you wonder how you ever lived without it.
Yes. My local station has 89 w/ethanol and top tier 87 and 91, both without ethanol. I'll pump 87 and 91 to get something close to 89.
I will never use the ethanol blend if I can avoid it. It's everywhere in IA/NE. In my other vehicles, I always get lower MPG with the ethanol blend.
Real nice car and congrats on the work-from-home thing.
I started the work-from-home thing over a year ago.
I'd like to know more about that 'vette in your garage though.
