I agree with you wholeheartedly as the amount of complication that exists on vehicles today is simply just astronomical in my humble opinion, let alone compared to anything many years prior to the vehicles being controlled with electronics, or even very basic and very lame emissions crap such...
There was another discussion in these forums regarding this issue where someone was utilizing their 4x4 system and climbing a steep offroad hill with same/similar results as what you experienced with the 4x4 system overheating. I suspect this is related to your transfer case in that you have the...
I have the black interior on my rebel. I do like it much better than the red interior, however, I chose the truck based on the exterior color. None the less, very happy with the colors.
Gotta be honest, I love my 2020 Ram Rebel. I've never owned a Dodge/Chrysler/FCA truck. In fact, I've come from a "Chevy" family, though I've been driving BMW's, and whatnot for about 25 years. I did have a 2002 Ford F-150 SuperCrew, 2006 Chevy Silverado, and a 2015 Chevy Silverado and I can...
3.92 gears here, and I was towing the largest enclosed 6x12 Uhaul trailer filled to max, which I estimated to be around 4K in total @ 65, and was achieving 14.1mpg @ 65 MPH. I remained in the right lane and just stayed behind slow cars if I caught up to them in that lane. My Truck has 1113 mile...
Can you throw a few pics up of your vehicle? To confirm, you are still on the stock Bilstein's with just the MotoFab 2.5" spacers upfront and no UCA change? Also has the quality of the ride changed for you to any degree with the addition of the spacers?
Hammered mine quite a few times now, certainly, didn't wait to do so. Trucks got good power, just rolled over 1K miles, but my foot was in it well within 50 miles on the ticker or so.
I would think you could pretty much use any "speedometer" related app on your smartphone. I can't remember what I've used in the past, but pretty much, any of them would be just fine for reference or comparison purposes. Google maps seems to have this feature now as well...
If you follow this posting in the forums, you can actually do the addition of the trailer brake controller yourself. I just completed it and provided updated screenshots for my 2020. As for the two hooks on the front, to be honest, I'm not quite sure how strong they actually are. But they are...
Regardless of what you end up with, I think you'll be MORE than happy with the new truck. I came out of a new (JL) Wrangler, and I love my new Ram Truck. Even more so than the past Chevrolet trucks that I've owned. The Rebel I purchased was NOT the one I was researching online before showing up...
I would suggest focusing on the items that can be added or changed down the line, in your list there are more than a few items that I'd focus on, besides color.
2019 Big Horn Crew Cab 6’4” Box 4x4
Granite Metallic w/Light Mountain Brown -- your personal decision. I chose white, my last white...
I was able to understand how to use AlphaOBD today in conjunction with the MX+ OBD Adapter, and Taser Gateway Module on my Android phone for my 2020 Ram Rebel. The install directions were perfect, and while it was a bit of a pain in the **** to actually take the connectors out of the back of the...
I selected, from the original instructions as shared:
RAM 1500 (DS/DX)
BODY COMPUTER
CENTRAL GATEWAY MODULE MY2006-12 NON-POWERNET
CAR CONFIGURATION CHANGE
My guess is that I should be selecting MY2016-2017 PowerNet, but again unsure as there's another Body Computer: MY2013-17 PowerNet option...
I created a post in another thread regarding the activation of the integrated trailer brake controller, and I have to admit, I'm a bit confused. In the sense that the options that I'm supposed to select, are just not there as they may be for others. Essentially after installing all of the TBM...
Well, I attempted the install today, and I was somewhat successful in that I was able to get the actual brake controller installed, along with the control module, however, I ran into a few issues with the AlfaOBD software. To be clear, I'm running AlphaOBD on my old Samsung S8 which is no longer...
Totally agree. I'd bet 99% of the people don't need lockers 99% of the time. I was merely trying to express the differences between the lockers and LSD. I agree that LSD's are the best for most folks. I didn't need a rubicon, and maybe only used the lockers once, or twice. That said, I'm happy...
Be honest with you, I hate that type. I relocated to Phoenix a few years back from Philly, and while I used more than a few of these types of washes back east, as far as I can tell, I've not run across one of those types of washes here on the west coast. Anyhow, I did go through automated type...
For what It's worth, I live in AZ, and even driving in any offroad condition WITHOUT water the undercarriage of your vehicle would look like that, and we have so little water out here, so trust me, that looks no different than either sloshing around mud in the east, or dry, and dusty conditions...
