I had the Rubicon, so mine was 4.10's, of course as you mention the RAMs have access to the 3.92 axles, as my Rebel does, but to be honest, I couldn't be more happy to be outta that V6, and into my 5.7. I can tell you for sure the gas mileage in that Wrangler Rubicon with that v6 was abysmal...
The v6 sits around 265HP/275 Torque or something like that. I traded into a 2020 RAM Rebel out of a 2018 JL Wrangler with that very same V6. The Wrangler would struggle to keep 8th gear on slight inclines with 35" tires rolling on the highway. For me, I feel that it's an entirely underpowered...
Yea, I think the important thing is keeping a good alignment, and rotate every 3-5k. I've had a number of vehicles in the past few years (European), and I've noticed the quality of the OEM name brand tires do not seem to be as good as the very same aftermarket tire. My Rebel has the Wrangler...
Thanks for the update, I do have a rebel and plenty of offroading that can be done here in AZ, but I just bought a brand new Honda CRF450L so more than likely I'll be doing more offroading with that, than my Rebel. Thanks for the feedback!
It's been a long time since I've ordered anything, vehicle wise. However, I suspect that the lackadaisical attitude is likely because the salesman/sales manager are not receiving any commission by this point and are simply focused on actual customers who are gonna put food on their tables today...
I guess what it boils down to; is the cost for aftermarket CAI/Tuner/Exahaust worth the marginal gains? Your wallet decides that. For me, I'm 51 now, and pretty damn salty with all of this aftermarket nonsense having gone through this nonsense time and time again over the years. Just blew my...
Interesting... I'm guessing that must be another setting which would make the module light up. I'm wondering if by chance someone will stumble across that setting at some point in the future as I'd enjoy mine lighting up as well.
Yea, but let's be honest here... It's not like these trucks are super restrictive on either their intake or exhaust. Any gains from an intake, combined with an exhaust and some sort of ECU module, or diablo sport or whatever net very marginal gains anyhow. So if your fine with that understanding...
Happy with my Rebel 5.7! As the others pointed it has it's own specific shocks, tires, and a true transfer case, and rear locker. Other trucks in the line are very nice, but I personally have no reason for any diesel-powered truck. Just too costly to maintain in the long run as a compared to...
Thankfully I had a 50 buck credit with google play store from purchasing a new Samsung TV last year, or so and I just never used it. Anyhow, it was used to purchase the AlphaOBD software. My feeling is that the software seems kinda dated, and the 50 bucks was kind of expensive for it, even...
I'm thinking that there are no lights in that little module trailer braking module. Mine does not light up like that either after the install like some of the other switchgear.
Yea, I'd agree with the others, get the aftermarket units and just never have to think about if the joints in the UCA's are gonna fail early. At worst, they are probably better quality than the OEM units, at best that + better articulation.
No suspension expert, but a UCA is going to give you better articulation on full droop and eliminate any potential CBC, or coil bucket contact. Since these are trucks and not Jeeps, your probably not rock crawling so I wouldn't worry about it as long as your caster/camber, and any alignments are...
Mine has done it a few times, but I don't even think about it, really. I suspect I'm putting it into park and turning it off too fast, but just my thoughts.
Personally I sought out a vehicle without E-Torque as I had no interest in any additional nonsense to worry about, but it seems that there's more than a few people here that are quite happy with the system, so I say more power to you. That said, when I purchased my 2018 JL Rubi a few years...
I would say that THAT doesn't look good.. That reminds me of a motor with a water leak inside the engine. Anyhow, I suspect that jdefoe0424's comments may be accurate. And short trips, are certainly not good for vehicles in the very long run. I always try to make sure I get everything up to...
Recent JL Rubicon to Ram convert, and I remember this posting on the JL forums. Remember too that the JL wrangler has that damn flapper valve that just lets in unfiltered air/dust so even more of a bogus claim on the dealers part. And I agree, FCA seems to be all sorts of combative!
