I have a GB50 (1500amp) that lives under my back seat and I've started many other peoples vehicles with it but have never gotten to use it on my own truck. As well I have a GB55 (1750amp) and a GBX155 (4250amp) that I keep at work. The smaller pack has jumped a 5.0 F-150, you could tell it was...
I've been using their filters (Fuel, Oil, Air, and Cabin) for a little over a year now. Zero complaints so far. the plastic molds on the oil filters look identical to the mopar ones, only difference is the mopar stamp. I can't speak to the filtering ability of their products but they say they...
Also, based on the code and that sensor data being static I’d wonder if maybe that sensor is bad. I’m not a fan of just throwing parts at problems, but maybe check the wiring around the sensor and/or replace the sensor. Cause P022E relates to catalyst inefficiency, which would be measured by...
So not with my truck, but with a 55 horse tier 4 Yanmar diesel I had a CEL and an on board computer constantly asking for “Recovery Regens.” The machine would disable its PTO and need to be parked for 30-45 minutes ~4 times per month. Pulled the DPF and had it baked and that solved the issue...
I'd maybe consider trying an injector cleaner too. Some of them are snake oil, but some of them do work. I'd imagine it's a fueling issue most likely a stuck/dirty injector. I drive an EcoDiesel, but I had a stubborn injector code that wouldn't go away. Eventually I ran some Hotshots Diesel...
For the most part, Yes. It's a very controlled venting system, lots of one way check valves and whatnot. Nowhere near as much air flows through as say a 5 gallon Jerry Can without the lid/spout on it. Now if you stored gasoline like that I imagine the shelf life would be weeks or maybe months...
I don't see anything wrong with letting your tank go down to 1/4 or so then even if it takes several weeks to use that much fuel. The Hemi will burn 1-2 month old gasoline just fine. Exposure to oxygen/outside air makes gas go bad faster, in your relatively sealed fuel tank it will last just...
I tend to fill mine all the way, but I'm good for 2K miles per month so I'm filling 4 times a month anyways. Diesel truck here, and I use HotShots EDT additive every fill up.
honestly I'm not sure. I haven't heard much about noisy generators on the ETorque trucks. If it's an MGU or water pump bearing then yes. however it could completely fail soon, or it could fail in years. I'd get it checked out first, see what the shop says, and go from there.
Maybe other members...
Absolutely, I think the dealer should check it out if it winds up being covered under warranty, though I hope they don't try to stick you with a fee for diagnostics. I suppose worst case you pay them for diagnosing the issue and maybe they reimburse you if it is found to be an MGU (warranty)...
I want to preface this by saying I DO NOT have any experience with ETorque, however that to me sounds like a noisy bearing on something in that belt drive. Whether it's an idler pulley, A/C clutch, or the MGU. I would consider pulling the belt off (with the truck off obviously) and spinning some...
I agree Spyder, I believe that even with 50k miles this engine is still getting settled and flushing excess materials from manufacturing and just plain normal wear/running in. Don't mean to spark controversy about oil brands.
I'm happy with this report though and I'm glad that my viscosity...
Well guys, got another Blackstone analysis back yesterday. Changed oil brands and noticed some improvement to wear materials, though it’s too early to attribute it to the oil in my opinion. I’ll let y’all read it and see what you think. This interval was from 45k-50k miles. Mixed driving in the...
'21 EcoDiesel here, at 47,000 miles had the truck throw and injector error code. P026C, fuel injection quantity lower than expected (partially clogged injector.) After a little runaround from the dealer I used a store bought Injector additive and ran it through, problem solved. Other than that...
Bottle says 8 ounces for 20 gallons of Diesel. I measured out 16 Ounces for 33 Gallons of fuel. So maybe a slightly hotter mix then what the bottle says, but not overly so.
Very late to respond to you Chris3058, but I did exactly this a few weeks ago upon your recommendation. Ran a hot dose of that on a full tank of clean fresh fuel. drove the truck 300 miles at speeds of 55-70 MPH while locking the truck to 7th gear. Rpms were around 1,800-2,100 most of the drive...
