Just got off the line with them and no need to cut that red wire as those instructions are for the Fords. And Gitter's solution is probably the only solution to get the blade more in sync with the tail lights and not lose break light functionality. They did mention that they're going to be...
Sounds good! I'll consider doing the same as you. Not really interested in adding the spacer either although I hear it maintains the ride quality more so than just adding the links.
I want to do something approximately the same. I don't mind the rake as much but I also agree it should be about a 1/2" - 3/4" rake. Did you lose some of the OR ride heights as part of your set up? Did you end up having to buy two half kits?
I was waiting for Putco to call me back regarding that specifically. If not, I'll go the TaT route as Gitter suggested. It's only $30 for a pair so not like it's going to break the bank.
You'll most likely get some rubbing I feel. Will also depend on your wheel's offset to a certain degree. It's why I opted to go down in size, although I probably could've gone 285/60/R20 without rub. I chose not to just because I didn't want to pay that extra $$ to go up to an LT tire, even for...
Ok got it mounted, wired up and working... except the turn signals are waaaaay out of sync. Gonna call Putco tomorrow and see if maybe I didn't do something correctly or missed a step. The instructions they sent were for the 60" blade and mine are the 2x18" set. Not sure if that makes much of a...
Those brackets were 1/4" based on his post. The RO brackets are 3/8" and quite sturdy. I would say sturdier than the stock/OEM hard plastic brackets that were there. I still need to find a way to make up that 3/8" difference in thickness for my tonneau as I am still getting water in the bed.
Yes I want an answer to this as well. Not like it's a whole lot of money, but if it's not the proper fit, that could lead to other issues when driving the truck. I feel like, at this point, I need to remove these brackets and put back the stock brackets and cover just to ensure I don't cause...
You are correct! Maybe the optional power management module gives you finer grain control over when to cut power vs. a hard-coded setting on the camera that you wouldn't be able to adjust?
