Are the fog lights controlled by the CBC unit? I don't see it listed anywhere. I want to tap that fuse or switch to the relay on the lightbar to turn on using the same fog light switch instead of mounting a new switch someplace.
Nice! Mine arrived today too. Gonna have to carve out a weekend to work on it in the next couple of weeks. But first, some light projects and a new Borla exhaust!
I added additional bed lights. I forget if I spliced or I tapped into some other source with a harness.. It was pretty easy to do, actually. Lots of posts about it on here.
I’m torn on which ones I wanna get.. did you just order 2 sets (front and rear doors)? Also, do you have upgraded dash speakers as well or did you leave those stock? I have the HK system so not sure if these will help add back some bass since I disconnected my factory sub.
I'm pondering upgrading just the door speakers to the CDTs you've listed. Any issues with ANC? I currently don't have my factory sub hooked up (hated the muddy bass).
Oh I must've skipped that page/post, thanks! For some reason, the pass-through grill shows it doesn't on my Limited V8 on the Mopar site. Anyone have a Limited that has this installed see any issues with the pass through grill?
Any way you can modify those brackets so the light sits more centered on a Limited? Really want to pull the trigger on this. Optionally, maybe have some vertical adjustability somehow?
Sorry I haven't been on the forums much, been busy. But basically you have to cut the rails at the front of the bed back about the width of whatever brackets you want to use (I have the RO brackets). The OEM brackets *will not* work with the rails and cover. I believe I had to cut it back about...
Update to this:
I'm an idiot and for some reason I thought it was the stock bushing/bracket that fell off when it was actually the Hellwig bracket that fell off! Spoke to Hellwig and they're sending me a replacement for free! Great service!
Original bolts with air ride, for those asking. I'm almost certain I probably did not torque it enough. I did it the first time but I had installed it upside down so I reinstalled it and didn't re-torque it thinking my impact gun should've torqued it enough. Also wonder if I didn't put on enough...
For those installing the bar themselves, make sure you put thread lock on those bolts for the bushing. At some point, mine must've come undone or maybe I didn't torque them enough.. Now I have one broken bushing, two bolts lost and squeaking from the sway bar, probably due to stress on the end...
I had to cut my rails for my Lomax. Also had to add additional marine weather stripping at the front of the bed by the cab due to the RO brackets' 3/8" thickness. Appear to be mostly leak free now and would still do it the same instead of using the stock soft cover.
Mine went from 12.9 to 12.4 yesterday after taking my kid to baseball practice... I may need to get someone to tow my truck up the hill every time I go home to get the kind of fuel efficiencies you guys are!
