Overnight delivery on a plane? Lol
30 days stuck in a lot is ridiculous. Sorry to hear that @Wch_chip hopefully it gets moving and you have a new truck soon. I’d complain to Ram and see if you can get some extra rebates. Worth a shot.
Haha that’s what a friend of mine noticed too. And my response was the same. Some sort of dust storm or it was sitting outside for a long time.
Who knows maybe my truck was the same. He just took a hose to the passenger side for a photo op lol
Thanks! Hopefully it’s just a simple wire not connected. Wishful thinking lol.
Ahh yes pictures! Haven’t had a chance to snap my own but this is from the dealer
I agree. Unless they install the roof with the cutout then send it offsite to actually install the pane. If you’re bored there is a Sterling Heights Ram manufacturing video on YouTube. If you look closely you might be able to see if they install it in the factory or not.
I was talking to the...
Finally took delivery!!
Ordered 9/22
Picked up 11/16
Only problem is the proximity system does not seem to work on the driver side door. Hope they don’t have to take off the entire inside door panel to fix it
The build usually takes a day or two. It’s fast. After that it’s hard to say. Some of us go to the mopar shop for a few add ons(spray in bed liner, power running boards, etc). I was in and out of there in a day or two. sounds like @Wch_chip has been there for 28 days now. It also depends where...
I don’t know the exact date it shipped I just know it was the week of 10/26 (guessing Tuesday/Wednesday). With that being said, about 20 days. Shipped to San Jose CA.
Well I just heard from the dealer tonight that it’s loaded on a transport and should be ready for pick up tomorrow!
Couldn’t agree more about having faith in some things these days. Expect the unexpected in 2020 and 2021!
Be glad you got your truck built and near delivery. Never know what...
I agree with the other posts. The last time I ordered a truck I wanted to switch engines. A day after placing the order it was too late. Paint may seem like a simple modification but these manufactures run their supply chains with precision. With a VIN I suspect you’re in D status meaning they...
The worst part is when it gets to the railyard lol. You know it’s only a few miles away but days away from driving it lol. I’m going crazy here waiting. Plus I’m flying out of town the week of thanksgiving. I may get a day with the truck (or no time at all if it’s delayed). Oh well I’ve made it...
The dealer told me his best guess is by next Friday. I hope he said that just to manage expectations. Would be great if they get it this weekend.
You’re more patient than me when it comes to info lol
Haha well what do they expect? We are excited! Pre shipping I definitely bugged ram chat everyday and never spoke my salesperson. Once it shipped ram chat didn’t give me any info other than it shipped and the estimated delivery.
I don’t think it would hurt to ask your dealer where it’s...
You beat my by a day. I ordered on 9/22.
It was shipped the week of 10/26. No updates from my dealer in the last 2 days. Last update was it was just outside its final destination (like 1,000 yards outside the final destination lol so close but so far).
Haha that could have been the case!!
As of last night it was just outside of the rail yard where they’re unloaded! Hoping because it’s a high volume dealer they get multiple transports a day vs sitting in a railroad waiting
Hopefully you get out of JB soon and loaded on a rail car. I’ll keep you posted on when mine arrives. I’m in the Bay Area as well. San Jose to be exact. It gets shipped via rail to Benicia then transported to the dealer. Assuming yours will be similar.
I got lucky this time around with my dealer. He seems more than happy to provide updates. Lately he’s been sending me daily updates tracking the train.
Makes sense to not bug the dealer if they seem annoyed. However they shouldn’t be. It’s exciting building a truck and letting the anticipation...
