I purchased what I wanted regardless of the overall cost ownership. I have owned several diesels in the past, 3 cummins, 2 duramaxs and 2 power strokes...none of those really made financial sense to me either.;)
I guess I'm the odd man out....I "settled " for the ecodiesel :rolleyes: . Actually..., I chose the ED specifically because I wanted one and make no mistake, I'm quite happy with it at this point especially the awesome torque and fuel economy . I haven't experienced any problems and 27 mpg...
My flatbed trailer needs a little persuasion getting the chains on but my tandem boat trailer clips right in. Maybe you can change out the end hooks to a larger set?

Currently getting 25.5 average mpg and that's about 50/50 city-hwy. As far as issues , I have a recall that needs to be done on a ground bolt. I've been waiting for the dealer to contact me when the "part " arrives . Other than that been extremely pleased with the diesel .
Can't go wrong with either of them. But for me the diesel made more sense , very happy with my choice. There are pros and cons to each of them but ultimately it's your money .
