Yes, Ive had it happen a couple of times. No real rhyme or reason as to when or why it happens. Always comes back to normal at next restart of the truck.
It comes in handy in especially rocky terrain, and when going downhill over sketchy areas. Other than that, I don't have a preference or see a difference.
I went from an '05 2500 to a '17 2500 and that was an amazing upgrade. Then I went to the '19 1500, and it was an even bigger upgrade! I'm positive you wont miss the diesel after the first long roadtrip you do. Welcome to the "Former Diesel Owners" club!
Jabber, I'm pretty sure that you don't have one installed if you are having that hard of a time finding the cord. Does your build sheet/window sticker show it as an installed option? If so, I'd be at the dealer first thing this morning asking for either a refund or to have it installed. Good Luck!
I don't know about the part number, but I have a block heater on my Rebel, so they definitely exist. I don't imagine it should be too hard of a thing to track down. Good luck!
Cold weather isn't going to cause any issues for the eTorque at all. Honestly, I've found that the entire eTorque system operates seamlessly regardless of environment. Air suspension, however, is extremely affected by temperature. Besides the whole Boyles Law thing, you have to take into...
Just ran across this article. I know a few folks on here have been starting their own fact finding missions, so maybe this is the direction they are heading...

Those would be perfect if they didn't have the formed-in rivet appearance. If I had that style wind/bug guard I can see how they would look good together. Thanks for the suggestion!
Surely this isn't the only option. I'm really surprised Ram doesn't offer anything.
I've been digging around on the internet and all I can find are chrome or gloss black visors. Does anyone know if there are any matte black ones available that will match the trim of the Rebel?
You aren't the first person to question this. The easiest way to put your mind at ease is to turn on the recorder function on your phone, throw it in the rambox, and close the lid. Then, just review the tape to see whats going on.
I'm really surprised that they are going to put it in the Rebel (at least according to the article I just read). That's going to be a great combination if true.
When I first ordered my Rebel, I was very worried that I was going to regret it because red isn't really my thing. But when I saw it in person, it is actually very complimentary to the design/attitude of the truck, and isn't so in-your-face as it looks in pictures.
When other people get...
I have the Mopar matte black deflector on my Rebel. I put it on in October before I moved out of Montana, and it held up well to some pretty brisk temps (much colder than anything I've seen in Maryland so far, anyway). I also have been through MANY all-brush carwashes with ridiculous turbo-jet...
Just out of curiosity, did you have your Rebel built to your specs, or did you take one off the lot? Not that it makes any difference because you shouldn't have any of those issues on a brand new truck. I'm wondering if maybe yours was used and abused as a dealer slampiece prior to you taking...
Yeah, I remember dealing with them when I was stationed at Lejeune years ago...... Sounds like they haven't changed much. But, I can say with certainty that they are WAAAYYY better than Neuwirth in Wilmington. STAY AWAY FROM THERE AT ALL COSTS!!!
