I had this as well. FCA replaced under warranty. My dealership pushed hard for me. Is your dealer trying, if not try another dealership, maybe. I know of at least one other person on this forum that had his replaced as well. Good luck. After I got mine replaced put seat covers on my front...
If it was me, it would drive me nuts, so I would have it repainted. If you don’t care and they compensate you to your satisfaction then don’t repaint. I would bet they can do a good job on the repaint though.
Yes. And I only posted same on the forum because others have had problems with their seat covers wearing on the seat bolsters as well. Don't know if this is just an isolated defect with the RAM seats or widespread. Time will tell. Hope you don't experience same...and no I don't have 40 grit...
Installed Tiger Tough front seat covers. Why...because concerned I will wear through leather bolster on drivers seat. Had to replace it once already for this issue. Was covered by Warranty after so push and shove with FCA. Good dealer support helped. Like the seat covers. Fit extremely well. Two...
You should definitely try shutting off flow to the heater as discussed on many threads here or have a knowledgeable mechanic check your system. Which model truck do you have? Do you have the 12 inch screen?
You need to get that checked out right away in my opinion. I suspect that the wiring behind the piece in that area is defective and overheated. If you don't get it fixed it may cause even more damage. I doubt seriously that focused light was the cause. Please give us a follow up report. Thanks
Try this. Put some tape over the dent, wider than the dent, then use a suction cup to try to pull the dent out. In other words, like dent repair on the truck body.
Which picture has the correct gap? Any? If not please post one showing correct gap because inspite of your detailed explanation I am still lost. And is there a question here or are you just trying to get more of us to join your anguish?
Yes, that one appears to be installed correctly. The only other thing that comes to mind is the track it slides into is bowed. By the way, I looked at all four of mine and of the four, one was very slightly bowed in respect to the other three. Mine, however, was only noticeable if looking from...
Here is a picture of my molding. Notice how the bottom end of the molding on your door looks in comparison to mine. Also compare how your molding that is bowing is installed to other areas on your truck that are not bowing. It appears that the bowing molding is sitting on top of the horizontal...
It really is weird, though. You would think it would be consistent. And you would think an older unit like mine would have the problem. Maybe FCA uses different suppliers for same parts and one supplier did not build according to design. Will probably never know.
So I wonder why some vehicles built about the same time do not have this issue, at least not yet? For example, my Limited built 6/18 has not exhibited this problem.
