first order of business will be new tires. second order is get canopy installed. then into the detailers for PPF, graphene paint coating and undercoating.
it went slow as molasses to start, then the switch to 22, then more delays, but once it had the build sheet, it went gangbusters. shipped and trucked to my remote location on Vancouver Island all within 2 weeks. dealer finance lady called in the morning to discuss the business end and...
exciting, but ugh, too bad about the work thing!! mine arrived by train in some railyards outside of Vancouver, a days drive (including ferry) to the Island. dealer said it would be ready for delivery sometime next week. aye carumba!
really? that's odd. i had an extra leaf added to my Frontier and it was higher on the driver side after. the shop said we put more bend on the driver side to account for your weight and fuel and in time it will level itself. made good sense.
you're probably right. however, i will immediately Lexel the sharkfin and use Blueskin window flashing in the 3rd brake light. that's if it stops raining for a few hours before next summer.
subscribed, with trembling fingers as i await my new truck. in coastal BC the monsoons are just beginning. my outdoor truck will be exposed to rain forest conditions for the next 4 months. water tightness is an absolute must.
i thought i'd save the dough and keep it simple but i'm a similar user (99% recreational, mtb, fishing, paddling, camping) and would probably love that gate. i wonder if it can be ordered separately and retrofitted somewhere down the line. doubtful!
quite the set up! my original order was that colour but it was discontinued and switched to patriot blue. the tailgate looks perfectly functional for how you use the truck. i thought about it, but they said it could be a huge further delay. any issues with yours? does seem like a complicated...
that musta been fun. so did they let you back it off the truck and just drive it away?! i imagine it's at least a day or 2 for the dealership to do their thing, and complete the paperwork before it's officially yours?
one thing i do plan on doing, right away, is to remove the 3rd brake light and do some butyl flashing tape (Blueskin) to make a permanent seal in advance. it looks easy to do in 10 minutes and should eliminate that spot from the potential leak equation.
do they get put on a train or transport trucks? wondering how my truck is travelling. i'm on Vancouver Island so somehow the truck has to get to Washington i reckon. then i would think a car transporter here. it's quite the journey including an ocean boat ride on the ferry! probably an extra...
i hope you are right. my factory order has recently shipped and delivery should take place in a few weeks. i'm both excited and nervous. by far the most expensive vehicle i've owned. first brand new. i've read so much here about issues, vibrations, leaks, etc. i live on Vancouver Island, coastal...
general question for you PB truck owners. how do you like the color in general and how is it holding up to the elements with time? also, much orange peel effect? i see someone complaining that they have terrible orange peel on their new PB. mine is now in shipping and i'm hoping for an early Nov...
dealer just emailed me and said truck has 'left the factory' and should be here around the first of Nov. i kinda like how i'm just a step ahead of them thanks to this website. i told her that i had a window sticker before she was aware of it.
so at this point i'm starting to believe that this...
