That’s not an air ride truck, procomp kit at 7” on 35s. I was just commenting on the drivability of a lifted truck, I drove that truck all over. 23k miles in one year, most than half lifted. Mileage kind of sucked, but hemi + lift and what can you do.
I mean it’s worse than stock, assuming you have all season tires or what not, but it’s really not that bad.
I’ve driven this truck from TX to FL and back on the terra grapplers. And on 2 hour trips on the 12 wides and amp MT. Granted I’ve been driving lifted trucks all my life but it’s not...
So my question is.... is the warning system separate from the gauge? As in when it gets very low, will the truck know and toss you the warning or will simply allow the system to run dry and create larger issues?
Seems like they are different since someone mentioned reading the percentage off...
the gear ratio matters but there’s other factors at play such as Rolling resistance (weight, width, tread aggressiveness) of wheel tire setup and transmission (4spd vs 6 vs modern 8). If you have 12 wides and aggressive mud tires and try to run 75 on the highway all the time through rolling...
Subd as well. I can confirm that everything you said seems to be true. But I don’t know the answer either, it seems bizarre to me that ram would make changes already.
FTS also has a new kit coming out, supposed to be a true 6” (or 7”) kit, that can be stretched to 8” (or 9”) in the short...
For me.... I wanted to go back to a diesel. But don’t need a HD truck, looked at a few Cummins, but the limited I bought was less than a medium optioned Laramie 2500. So there’s that.
I wanted to see if I could still get ~20mpg with a lifted truck, instead of the 11-13 I was getting with the...
I find this hard to believe, and assuming it’s true, why would they do this is the better question? All that time into developing the 5th gen truck and already messing with the chassis?
Have you seen the over heating issues with the duramax? They were having a lot of issues with this motor, first year and all.
That’s one of the biggest reasons I went with the ecodiesel, it’s ‘new’ but 3rd generation and Allegedly been improved upon. I was shopping the duramax AT4 but the...
I’m curious if you notice any added tone, this should be interesting (y)
On a Cummins truck, you can change the sound a little with different tips, tip configurations, etc. but they are also twice the motor and much louder.
if it doesn’t do anything, at least you got them for when you move to...
that’s pretty crazy, 17% dealer discount... no hidden fees? Either something is off here or maybe you are getting the best deal we (at least me) have seen so far. I’d jump on that one!
