Following up on this. My dealer got the part in and took care of it for me at no charge. I brought my truck in and was out within an hour - they even washed it for me. The trim is a peel and stick piece held to the window frame with space-age double-sided tape. :) Good as new.
On the plus side, my dealer is taking care of it. The plastic pieces can be ordered separately. Thankfully, they don't need to replace the entire rear window.
Hey all, just wanted to chime in on this. Just took delivery of a 2020 Rebel and the plastic trim under my sliding window looks like it was heated up with a heat gun and severely warped. Looks like there might be an issue with this new gloss black plastic used on the rear windows on 2019+...
