A great idea and we did look into that...
Due to our remote location (even though it seems like we are not that far out) Uber, Lyft and the taxi service are charging over $50 each way from out house. We live in a forested area that is sparsely populated and nobody wants to come all the way out...
We expect to get our truck next week but it will only be 20 miles home. The bummer is that until the truck comes we only have one vehicle ('98 Corvette). My wife doesn't drive any more (dementia) so we will have our sales guy drive her and the truck to our house and I will drive the Corvette...
I just got off of the phone with RealTrucks (BakFlip parent company)...The Gator FX3 is made by BakFlip but is not identical to the MX4. The BakFlip MX4 his aluminum while the Gator FX3 is a composite polymer product. Also the Gator has a 2 year warrantee and the BakFlip has a 5 year...
If you don't have plans to transport the golf cart regularly, I would rent a trailer to transport it home. You can always work out another solution when you decide what your long term plans are.
Edit: I just thought that I should add that I had a couple of golf buddies that did haul their...
I just received an update...still in "shipping" status but they gave me a delivery window of July 22 - August 3. I would guess closer to August 3 since I don't think it on the train yet. I may be pleasantly surprised. This is the first time that I have received a delivery date estimate...
I am in the US and received a 2020 brochure and a couple of weeks later I received an email with my $1000 coupon. Since the 2021's are identical in most every important way I was not at all concerned over it.
My wife ordered ordered my truck on the day before my birthday back in April. We are expecting to get the truck before the end of July but it may stretch into early August. The dealer told us that it would be July or August when we ordered so we can't really complain. We are currently in...
I don't have my truck yet (waiting to be shipped) but I plan on putting a Bakflip MX4 on mine. I am also putting a bedrug in it. I had a bedrud in my 2008 RAM and loved it.
I hope that you get it in time for your vacation. We certainly hope to get a couple of nice road trips in before summer end. Maybe a trip to the coast and another to Crater Lake.
I certainly have no way of knowing for certain but I don't believe that they will leave any trucks partly built when they shutdown. I think that you are likely to see your truck in a few weeks or so.
That is good news...WooHoo! Ours went from paint to finished in just two days so there is hope that yours may get through before the shutdown takes effect. We ordered just a few days before you did and our truck is apparently waiting for a train ride to the northwest US.
For me, the wait while in D and D1 status seemed like an eternity...now that the truck is actually built the wait for shipping is much more difficult because I know that there is actually something tangible to wait for. During D and D1 I was not confident that the truck would even be built.
Does that date correspond to the build date on the sticker on the inside of the driver's side door frame on your truck? I ask because there is conflicting information as to whether the number on the window sticker is the build date or the date that the window sticker was produced.
I don't see the built date on my window sticker, where do I look for that? There is a date on the bottom of each page of my build sheet. The date on the build sheet is different for each of the two links that I have used.
I may have been able to get a better deal by haggling a bit but was very happy with how my dealer dealt with us. We went through the process of ordering the truck, he printed out the order sheet which showed MSRP and Dealer Invoice prices. He just circled the Dealer Invoice price and said...
